I think Mitch is a good AD. He's done some great things and he is a university president's dream as an AD. But, he ABSOLUTEOY SUCKS at giving out contracts. This is the one that might finally bite him in the ass.

I know you think I look like an idiot, you don't have to keep telling me each post. I have no problem with the uniforms, it's a silly discussion and acknowledged what the impact he had on the other programs before my rant. However, to hold him in some regard that he should not be held accountable for some of the worst contracts to Kentucky Basketball, what our school is known for most is absurd to say the least.
No people like you who want to keep this clown are who look stupid. UK basketball is the heart of uk sports. That’s been a fact for decades. You can’t have a sick heart and a healthy body it doesn’t work like that. He needs to be canned immediately for putting us in this position by being played by cal to get the most ridiculous contract in college history.
As long as Barney is running things you can count on him to really f up hiring a and contracts. He is a drunken blind man playing darts when it comes to hiring. It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. They both should be gone. The fact of the matter it's impossible to ditch the contract he was offered and signed now. That's not on Cal, he'd been a fool to not do it.
Notice what happens at places like USC in football when their powerhouse program hit the shitter, the AD was held accountable and let go. Why is Mitch above reproach? Funny you want to mock people with intellectual disabilities and can't even spell.

Athletic directors shouldn‘t strap their university with a contract they reasonably cannot get out of if they want.
The whole point of a contract is to prevent him from getting out of it because he wants.

Other athletic directors don’t sign away control over their most popular program with the craziest long-term contract ever seen in the history of the sport. The only other coach to ever get a comparable contract is Coach K …but he had five national championships and more wins than anyone in the history of the sport to justify it …Cal did not.
It’s indefensible how badly Mitch caved with that contract. He got scared shitless when Cal bluffed him with a threat to jump to UCLA and signed away everything. The man would be a terrible poker player.

If he’s not at least on the phone with Brad Stevens, Billy Donovan, Tommy Floyd, or Scott Drew during the off season, he takes just as much responsibility for this fiasco as Cal.

Him being Calipari or him being Barnhart/UK? The whole point of the contract from Barnhart’s point of view is to protect UK not make UK a slave to the coach. The level of the buyout is ridiculous.
