Once the rest of the dominos fall you’ll realize it’s time. If Sharpe walks and Cal can’t secure Wagner, what good is having a coach who’s supposed to be an elite recruiter if he can’t get the people that commit here to play here.
Cal losses make me furious because of the arrogance and underachievement. That’s the difference.

Cal was exactly who we needed in 2009….a great recruiter and a hype man. Those 2 qualities were enough to pay off at the time. But since the game has changed and the elite recruits are going elsewhere, he’s nothing more than a mediocre coach who is condescending towards fans and too stubborn to change.

You can’t still be defending this absolute bum. We could go 0-30 every year and this dude would still be on here defending Cal.
The problem is the roster isn't full of shooter. Wheeler , Brooks (Toppin), and Oscar are not shooters and we have that combo in for the majority of minutes. Mintz was horrible this year from deep.
I have no suggestions for a new coach. But at this point, any other coach would be fine because it would be a change. Cal's schtick has gotten old, his refusal to change his style is frustrating, and the result is a product that is not entertaining. The KU win this year was an outlier but should be more of the norm. Turn the kids loose and let them go. Sigh..
