Boring football.

I said best case scenario. Let me type this a bit slower - Stoops has hit his ceiling. There's nothing wrong with that and it's okay to accept that.
You have no clue whether Stoops had reached his ceiling or not. It’s just speculation on your part. If you could actually predict that with any certainty you wouldn’t be on a message board talking about your opinion as if it were fact, you would be in a front office somewhere making millions of dollars.

Just because you type it doesn’t make it so. That’s typing slow or fast. It’s your opinion and not fact.
No ish, Sherlock. Most of this board is opinion. Just reiterating my point because, if interpreted incorrectly, it seems to trigger the Stoops fan boys

Speculation after watching 10 years of Stoops ball - the good, the bad, and ugly while noting his fear of change and insistence on playing not to lose. Again, most on this board is opinion. If you have a different one, good for you. We'll see who is correct.

Last night was pretty vanilla but any game, pro or college would look vanilla after watching the Bama-UT game. Geez games like that come along once every decade or so. The 85 Bears would have been boring after watching that game. This years team is all about technique. Not a vintage O Line but I agree with Levis that we only see a couple hours on the field, we don’t see all the work they put in leading up to the season, the games, etc. Last night was a solid win over a ranked opponent. That’s why we are all here. I want the taste of giving away two games out of my mouth as bad as anybody. So close to being 7-0 ranked 5th or 6th in the Country……two weeks off, badly needed, gives this team a break and a chance to heal up.

After watching Alabama and Tennessee put up over 1000 yards, we get this. Don't get me wrong, I love winning but I'd love to see some down field passes.
UK can’t win with that style. You need to get this in your head unless you want to lose half the games.. Not much defense in the game you mentioned. Their is no substitute for victory.. Just ask Saban

Why do you think UK can win at the level they do now with a very conservative defensive approach but not do the same with a more aggressive offensive approach? If a guy can recruit and coach to his strengths, I don't see the difference?

I dont want a pass every down offense. We had that with Mumme. A long ball on 2nd and 2 every now and then isn't too much to ask is it?

Shoot we were throwing the ball until somewhere in the Ol Miss game.

Chris Rodriguez came back and all of a sudden we forgot that we had like.... receivers.

To me, we're back to being a running team with the game managing quarterback play instead of what we had the first three games.

C Rod football will win it for you but Kentucky fans like the throw ball

Alabama probably feels better with their 6 national titles or whatever it is the past 13 years too.

Let's see how we do in Knoxville in 2 weeks as well against TN.
I live in Alabama and the fans don't feel good today and are not thinking about past titles. Thay wanted another title this year. They think they still have a shot but it's a slim one.

So you were happy 3-3 at halftime? The offense opened up more in the second half. Led to a better game.
Again, MSU was racking up yards and points against their opponents. LSU was the only other team to hold them under 39. So, yeah I was happy our defense was handling a good offense. And, the fist half was then followed by the second.

Complaining about a W against a top 20 team seems kind of a waste of time.

It’s a 50/50 deal really. If we win 60-59 I’m hella bummed because we have no defense but I’m happy to get the win

If we win 9-3 I’m still happy to get the win but I’m hella bummed that we have a bad offense.

whatever happens I’ll try not to bitch too much as long as we win. Just win. Winning entertains me. I don’t need any kind of certain offense to make me happy. Just get the W.
I would hate to see us get 900 yards passing against Thug U and end up losing.

The guy has run for over 3000 yards. Winning this game is all about controlling tempo. We could not win in a shootout. Whoever controls the tempo in a game usually wins. That’s why we play the game. To win. The 1st few games we did not have him available. Why do I feel like I’m lecturing a 5th grader.

It doesn't matter how slow you type it, it still ends up being crap. I guess you hated seeing Crod rushing for almost 200 yards, an awesome performance.
That's rich coming from the slowest guy on the board. I usually cut you some slack because you are 150 years old but if want to flap those dentures, I'll flap back.

Maybe you feel like you are lecturing a 5th grader because you are, seems like a lot of them are posters on here.

None of these guys wanting our OC fired could coordinate a middle school lunchline, let alone a College Football game. Bumbling boobs.

I have to guess you did hate seeing CRod have enough rushing yards to let us win the game, how old are you, five years old?

Best case he leaves? LOL. We have some absolutely loony toon fans that act like there's a history of winning at UK and that 8, 9 and 10 win seasons just aren't good enough and the coach needs to hit the road. smh
The best word I can use to answer and describe your post is: AMEN!

What does that have to do with Stoops hitting his ceiling? Can you keep up or do you need me to send a post card explaining the debate?

This is nonsense. Watching the running game control the ball is awesome. I used like the Air raid, spread. Not as much anymore. I’ve seen enough of it. Kentucky has carved out an identity that allows them to dictate the terms of play. This is hallmark of winning programs. They need enough game breakers to break open 8 in the box, which they have. They eliminate the penalties and they can beat anyone with this formula.

Crod ran for around 2 bills last night. Anyone who cries about that needs to go to rafters and never leave.

Do you think stoops coaching hasn’t changed in the last 10 years?

Did you watch the ole miss game?

first down at the 6 yard line and he lets his offensive coordinator call two pass plays that end the game, never would have happened 5 years ago. Caused a UK Loss.

last night what were we like 4/5 on 4th down?

5 years ago no chance we don’t punt on those plays. that change resulted in a UK victory.

not to mention the 4th and 2 pic 6 that would absolutely not happened under stoops 5 years ago.

Stoops has changed a whole lot in 10 years, will he ever be nick saban? Nope, but will he give Kentucky a realistic chance to win most games they play? Yes

We are two CLOSE losses from being undefeated, and we lost the first one to a good team we outplayed because of a string of hard to believe plays. We were clearly the better team IMO. The second one we lost because we lost our QB. I guess you enjoyed the TWO two win seasons more. Although they were almost entirely due to the NON-support of football that lasted for the first ten year of our hero's running our athletic department, not coaching.

How was Joker supposed to win with TWO four stars playing against an SEC schedule where seven of the eight SEC teams averaged 38 four stars in the previous four classes? Not counting five stars, and Florida alone had a dozen in 2010. A few FACTS for you.

Two of Stoops best qualities are hiring good assistants and recruiting.
Where was our football program when he took over?

And yes, I do think we should hire Sabin.

What major program are you the head coach at, and how do you find time to lecture the ignorant fans on here?

So you have to be a major program head coach to have an opinion on Stoops? If so, you may want to shut your dentures anytime a debate about Barnhart fires up unless you are an AD at a major university who has time to lecture the ignorant fans.

This is a much better response to my opinion versus ranting about CRods rushing yards or my qualifications to have said opinion.

There are many recipes out there to make a shit sandwich. No matter the process, no matter how you mix the ingredients, shit is the result. My point being, we won the game, just like we won our first 3 by throwing the ball. Good teams have balance. Good teams find a way to win, no matter the obstacles. Good teams beat you one week throwing for 400 yards, they can also beat you by running it for 410. Michigan ran the ball yesterday for 417 and threw for just 135. Last I looked they were ranked 3/4th in the Country.

That’s why there Is a 2nd half. And we held a team that had been scoring at will, to 3 points at the half. And only 7 (by the offense) the 2nd half. You only seem to be happy when you have something to whine about.
Looks like you are the whiner because I don't share the same opinion as you. Exactly what happened during the second half that helped us pull away? I won't wait for your answer because you will probably just cry some more.

1st quarter was boring, with all the penalties, but last 3 quarters were fabulous team play !!
