Boring football.

You have no clue whether Stoops had reached his ceiling or not. It’s just speculation on your part. If you could actually predict that with any certainty you wouldn’t be on a message board talking about your opinion as if it were fact, you would be in a front office somewhere making millions of dollars.
Yes I do. Ten years is plenty of time to reach near the ceiling. He's good, but hasn't shown ability to improve in last few years. Still wants close games vs. opening up.

Looks like you are the whiner because I don't share the same opinion as you. Exactly what happened during the second half that helped us pull away? I won't wait for your answer because you will probably just cry some more.
Lol @ Boyd. This biggest whiner on ksr. Scoreboard son!

Who won the game? You need to see your psychiatrist, and I am sure you have one.
The first half was depressing to watch with that shootout score of 3-3. Yes we won and looked better in the 2nd half. My statement is still true about the 1st half, which is when I posted that. Idiot.

I doubt it. The future is not as predictable as you make it out to be. If you want to believe that, that’s fine, just don’t act like it’s fact. It’s just an opinion, and from someone who doesn’t do it for a living. If we have hit a ceiling how do you know it’s a limitation of Stoops and not UK? I don’t believe we have hit a ceiling but if we have it may not be Stoop’s ceiling.

What does that have to do with Stoops hitting his ceiling? Can you keep up or do you need me to send a post card explaining the debate?
If you are going to send me a post card make sure it is a big fancy one, I hate the cheap ones. And hold your breath until I send you my address, that should be long enough to do the trick.

Do you think we have bored the paying customers long enough or do you want to continue?

Mehhhhh. Stoops will establish talent for two decades and the next person will be the breakthrough.
Sure hope so. UK and Microsoft have the same problem it seems at times.

Produce something really good that a lot of people like.
Then that products time is at a natural end.
Let’s fix what isn’t broke with the latest trend.
Wow. That really sucked!

We’ve seen what works here. Stick with that.

We get to watch them play 12-13 games a year. Boring or not, just win baby! Last night was a thing of beauty and we absolutely dominated the first half, just kept shooting ourselves in the foot with dumb penalties so the scoreboard didn’t show the whole story. 239 passing and rushing. That’s incredible!

I said best case scenario. Let me type this a bit slower - Stoops has hit his ceiling. There's nothing wrong with that and it's okay to accept that.
If his ceiling is making UK a highly respectable football program with an occasional chance at competing for the SEC East title.... I'm all in.

I'd rather win 52-14. 17-14 is too close for comfort.
I don’t think we will ever win a game 52-14 that isn’t UL or a really terrible scrub who we just couldn’t help but to score on like one of those games where 5 yard passes turn to 70 yard runs.
It’s not in our makeup under stoops to blow anyone out if we can help it. Before we would ever be close to 52-14 would already have the clock ran out.

Speculation after watching 10 years of Stoops ball - the good, the bad, and ugly while noting his fear of change and insistence on playing not to lose. Again, most on this board is opinion. If you have a different one, good for you. We'll see who is correct.

Apparently you would prefer that he play to lose Ten years is plenty of time to reach near the ceiling. He's good, but hasn't shown ability to improve in last few years. LOL. It isn't like we' have a University that is so stupid that they rob athletics instead of feeding it and watching it grow. 0r is it? Perhaps that is one of the reasons why a Wall Street analyst recently estimated the value of Bama's football program at a BILLION dollars and ours at just over $300M.

Perhaps some of our fans should read the article by the PRESIDENT of Boise State raving about how going major college in football (and spending the money to do so) has made their University grow so much and has increased their donations so much. How much did the money saved by doing NOTHING except necessary maintenance for football for our ADs first DECADE guiding our athletics department cost us in losing 20,000 season ticket holders AND their donations?

How many dollars did the two TWO win seasons and no bowl game for five years cost us?

Now we are approaching another long period of falling behind the Joneses. Florida is about to finish their $80,000,000 football facility, and it isn't like we have more in state talent than they do.

It didn't come to a natural death. It was starved to death.

LOL. Then specify you were talking about the first half. Or at least try to refrain from calling posters you know nothing about idiots.

Pretty sure that 2nd quote isn't me. Carry on..

Not sure how realistic that chance for N east title has ever been but yes, he's improved us immensely and this is the Stoops mountain top IMO (for those who get triggered when they assume I am reporting my opinions as facts).

Stoops is what he is and has hit his ceiling. The good news, the floor should be higher than it's ever been. The bad news, we will always be an ugly team based on conservative offense/defense with some head scratching game plans and mediocre in game coaching.

Best case scenario is that he continues to recruit with the same trajectory and in a few years he takes a different gig. We hire someone who's a bit more Innovative and aggressive and they take us to the next level.
The likely scenario is we slip back to being the UK football that most who are under the age of 40 are used to seeing. In the 56 years between Bear Bryant and Stoops UK football played 56 seasons. In those 56 seasons we went to 11 bowl games with a 5-6 record in those games. In the 9 seasons with Stoops we went to 6 bowl games and were 4-2 in those games. What, based on our past history, makes you think that someone else is going to come in and take us to the next level?

Some "fans" obviously don't remember when we were the doormat of the SEC and having those elusive 2-8 seasons and getting blown out by Vanderbilt. @smdh

That's definitely a possibility. Devils advocate - Stoops has done what he's done off of good defense, a ton of advantages others didnt have (financial support, a watered down SEC, UL neing garbage, a 12 game) and excellent recruiting (for UK). He has a ton of holes as a coach but has succeeded so it shows - right circumstances and support, a decent/below average coach (other than D) can succeed.
