Just heard he has removed UK stuff from his profile, and Ryan Lemmond said he may not be at practice today. Ugh.

I love KSR (I know, many on here do not), but that was really poor of Ryan to mention that without having confirmation.

Hope CMS can get this under control.

groan!

sheesh, that's ridiculous. Hope the rest of the guys are ready to go then. Gonna hurt in the long run but we'll be alright this year if he doesn't come back.

I think Matt wanted to choke him for dropping that rumor.

If this is true it is ridiculous. So he gets pulled in second half of the Mizzu game so he's going to take his ball and go home? I'm not buying it, but stranger things have happened.

The kid would start just about anywhere and he know's it, if he is going to ride the pine then he might as well transfer (not saying that is the case here). When you have a horse like him you may take him out for a couple of series, but he deserves to start. He is by far the most talented player on this roster, this looks like it has turned into a pissing contest between him and Stoops. I understand Stoops is trying to make a point, but sometimes you need to realize who butter's your bread and when to pick and choose your battles.

You never let a player hold you hostage regarding PT and touches...that's absurd.

Disagree. The coaches are in charge, not any one individual. Hope this blows over but CMS decides who plays and who sits.

Not if you get your QB killed by not picking up a blitz. Not the first time he has done it either. It was a lesson that Boom didn't want to learn.

If he is wanting a pissing contest with Stoops he will lose. You cannot let a player dictate how you run your program EVER. The program is bigger than anyone player. And he is not by far the most talented player on this team. We have several players that are just as talented and we have some that will go before him in the draft. The guy lost his spot because of something he did Saturday night. We have no idea what all transpired. If Stoops lets him dictate what goes on he will lose his football team.

Maybe he is trying to show the coaches who is boss. I hope not, because it is a battle he will lose, and it will hurt his value where ever he goes, college or pro, surely he knows that you have to play the player doing the best at the time, and the coaches did. That doesn't mean he can't come back even better the next game. I don't think his dad had anything to do with this, and hope it is just a rumor. but if so he is hurting his chances of being the star anywhere.

Maybe his family (on Twitter) getting into his head? Hopefully all is well. Who knows?? Mr. Lemond accidentally added some unnecessary gas to the flame.

This happens a lot. People outside the program ie: the handlers and/or family get in a players head. Worst thing that can happen to a player. These people could give a damn about the team they are just looking at a possible meal ticket. It has ruined players and had them do things that was not in their best interest. Hopefully this is not the case but it smells like it is.

What all did Ryan say? Haven't been on the board in a few days, just saw on Twitter where Stoops met with Boom and I thought that was it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see at the top where he said Boom wouldn't be at practice. Anyway, I hope this situation can work itself out.

Being the most talented player does NOT mean you deserve to start. There are other factors that come into play. Boom is talented and I hope he gets his head on straight, but you are acting like he isn't replaceable and I can assure you that he is. He can be all in or he can get out. I hope he picks option number 1.

He said 'maybe' not be at practice. This should between Boom and Coach

Coach Stoops in at the top and certainly in charge but,, there may be others involved also such as coaches Dawson and Scott. Anyway, the coaches win,, they must. Pullin for Boom to make good decisions here!

Agree. If nothing else Stoops has shown that he can lose lots of players and continue to improve UK as a team.

Boom needs to learn from this...he is a young, successful athlete so his behavior isn't uncommon...his reaction to the win also isn't unheard of...he probably hasn't ever been pulled for as long as he was and he probably never was on a team who won without much help from him. Its hard for some people to deal with.

He also shouldn't feel like he was screwed over on PT by the staff...he got 11 touches for 28 yards and also missed a couple blitz pickups...Jojo led the way with 13 touches for 66 yards. Stanley should tip his cap and get ready to show out for the next one...lets see if he can grow from this or if he runs from it. Jojo was basically benched for Williams last year - he stayed to fight for the team.

Hes a great talent. Hes the forefront of the marketing for the program. He has special songs they play just for him. What more could he want?

He missed a key block. Kemp ran like a man possessed, even after being demoted. Rather than sulking, hopefully he follows Jojo's example and just retakes the position.

Good news is, we can win without him. But its easier to win with him.

I think Boom is the 3rd best back in the SEC. Boom is one of my favorites, but he's not bigger than the program. The sky is the limit for Boom, but somebody better remind him of whatever Mo Clarett spoke to the team about. Granted Clarett had different issues, but with him you had a guy that would not heed advice in the moment and it all came crashing down. Sucks because his average would probably be about 18.7 yards per carry this coming week if got most of the reps.

JoJo hardly saw the field after the SC game last year. In the off season he decided to go back to work and earn his time. He didn't start the 1st four games of this season but was ready when his number was called vs. Missouri.

Amazes me how people don't want to earn anything anymore in todays environment. They expect it all to be given to them.

If he wants to be a baby - BYE....that kind of attitude is not needed as it is a team sport and not an individual sport- Jo Jo got demoted and WORKED HARDER because he looked in the mirror and did not sulk openly.

I was also distressed by the Post TD celebration by Towels too...he pushed teammates out of the way to do the Tiger Woods Uppercut...Son you did great but did not do it by yourself?!?!?!

How would he even have an iota of information to know what players would be at practice versus not? Is it just speculation?

I love to listen to Matt and Ryan but I don't think that they know a lot about football. Ryan said he had a 'source' - who knows who that is. I have to question what they say about football on their show. Basketball is a different story - they know a lot about.

Kinda makes me glad that that 5 star RB didn't come here. Can you imagine what would happen if he only got 7 or 8 touches in a game? He went to Bama because they run the ball A LOT. We've run it quite a bit but not like Bama does. So maybe it was best if he wasn't going to be happy not getting 25 carries a game.

I think he knew the answer, it was a rhetorical question.
Um, I think he knows it was Jojo. I believe the poster is suggesting that Boom could learn a lesson from the guy that replaced him. Could be wrong, but uh...
I get it now....Thanks for clearing that up for me...It's just these basketball only fans that i deal with all the time make me want to.....ohhhh...

Boom needs to take a step back and look at things...

Team just won, sits at 3-1 with 2 SEC wins...
He leads the team in carries and yards - has a decent amount of receptions as well...
Crowd chants BOOOOOOM anytime he is involved or shown on video board...
They let his dad lead the damn Cat Walk to pump the crowd up...

Pal, you aren't mistreated...you had a rough game and your teammates picked you up. It happens.
