Pope will be amazing when his rotations get a little tighter, I think at the end of the year he had little choice, but to play some bad lineups more than usual. Next year he won’t have a problem having five quality players on the floor at all times. He biggest thing will be finding the best offensive lineup. Shooting is definitely a little concern for me but we will have way better defensive lineups.
I think with all the great defense that the 25-26 Cats will play it's going to create some great offense. So to be honest I'm not all that concerned with shooting especially when or defense is going to be suffocating.

I dont think you understand what we are saying. Cal is not relyng on Freshmen next year. Knox will be back and we will have a bunch of older guys. ONLY two freshmen will get significant minutes. When was that ever the case when Cal was at KY. He hasnt sold us on anything. . We know you cannot win today with all freshmen. Cal isnt trying to here. I know you cannot stand him but realize he is doing things different at Ark. He has to, times have changes.
I’m saying the talent has left Fayetteville. Outgoing Theiro, Fland, Ivisic and probably Knox. The incoming players are not as good as the players leaving. I can’t see Wagner, Brazile and Richmond as the core of a team that will compete in the SEC.
There is no way Cal is going to select a starting PG over DJ. I believe Fland is going to the portal because he realizes that Cal wants DJ in that spot. DJ wouldn't have stayed without the guarantee. I think it is undisputable that Arkansas played better with DJ at the point. He can't shoot worth a damn, but he can distribute the rock.

They’ve got 14 more years before they will accept it. The recruiting classes really are enough to keep you intrigued until you eventually realize your team never seems to win big games anymore. Throws close games away and find your program setting new records in the worst way.
Cal with NIL getting players to come back is a better version than we had the last few years plus he actually seems to care now. Late in the year looked like old Memphis bully ball. Knox is the key to have a chance to be in the top tier with the other caveat of getting those ball-dominant guards to share.

That’s just wrong, too. I’m really, really glad we have Pope now. Perfect choice. But I liked Cal and didn’t want him to leave. Those two things can be possible at the same time. People who liked and cared for Cal and his family are a quiet bunch. Why? Because a vocal group impose their will and turn any reasonable conversation sideways. At least that’s my opinion. I rarely post, but I’ve been a message board reader since Prodigy and Compuserve - living and dying with Othella Harrington, Jarod Ward, Ron Mercer and Darius Rice….among a bunch of others. As a great UK coach, Cal did what he should do and that’s give us a championship about once a decade. Would he have produced the second in the second decade of his stint? I don’t know. He didn’t stay and I’m not a fortune teller. But Cal cared for the kids and cared for the state. I wasn’t sure about him in the beginning, but I believe he and Ellen are good people. They represented us well. That matters. I wish him well and Arkansas will be better off because he took their job. I think the Arky fans are right, Cal is changing. He HAS to. The landscape is changing by the minute and at an ever increasing rate. If you can’t change, you need to quit. Some great coaches have and I bet some others jump if things don’t stabilize soon. Will Cal change enough? I don’t know, but he hasn’t ran from the challenge, so he must have some juice left. It will be interesting to see.
When they got healthy and was a rebound from the E8. You do know we were wrecked with injuries correct? Remind us again what happened in Rupp last year when we got somewhat healthy.

Yea Arky was never as injured as UK. Not even close. Name me a time Arky was missing 4 of their top 6 guys at a single time. Yall actually got better when Fland got “injured”
Aidoo wasnt right until the last ten-15 games. He could not jump. Nelly was injured until half way thru the season. Brazille and Z missed games. They had no preseason practices. One game we had 6 players that could play. Many with 7. Our O ran much better the very game, Georgia, DJ took over point. This season will be so different with the retention. Unless we get hit hard with injuries. That could be said for any team. I know KY was rocked also. Cal will have more playable depth this year. He has to.
Who was injured through the first 5 games of the conference season? Seemed like you had both point guards, Ado, Knox, Richmond and Aidoo. Was Brazille injured?
