BIG Week Ahead....

McDonnell was very complementary of Henderson after the game. He said, based on his knowledge of the U.K. Team, that Henderson made all the right moves. It was a very close game between ranked rivals. My only problem with Henderson is the flame out of Heady. That kid was a high school superstar, great defensively, and a good hitter. He should be a stud, but he is failing under this staff. If Heady had reached his potential, UK would be a top ten team.
You bring up a legitimate point. 3 years ago Heady was being talked about as a top 5 round pick. Now he's hitting under .100 and is a backup shortstop. So, what happened? Was he overrated? Did he not develop? I personally don't have the answer but I wish things had come out different for his sake.

Think we can all agree the time is past due for a change..

I liken this to Pitino railing against the firing of Tubby Smith. He wanted Tubby in that chair, b/c it would mean more wins against the arch rival for Pitino. McDonnell's commentary means nothing.

The reality is that UK dominated the game and should have won (just like UL deserved to win the first game in Lexington). Henderson mismanaged the game yet again by inserting Zach Pop (among other miscues).
