Took them 2 whole days too.Alabama forced to hire the coach of the championship runner up. Truly forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel there.

Maybe they are and we just don't know yet
Not according to basically all the social media and news networks. There was no trouble. The only guy they offered the job to took it.
Bama may have struck out on every one of their top targets. Guys at good but not great programs like Oregon are staying put. Everyone is always so sure when Cal leaves we can lure a guy like Drew or Lloyd, but I really don't think it's as easy as people think. Being at the level of a Oregon football or Baylor basketball has incredible job security and guys like Drew will have the court named after them when they leave. Why leave a great situation to put yourself into a pressure cooker where it takes very little to be on the hot seat? Especially if you've always proven you can win where you are, like Drew has at Bayl
what makes you think they were having trouble finding a coach? some BS rumors on the internet? they got their number 1 target whether you like it or notBama may have struck out on every one of their top targets. DeBoer is 104-12 as a head coach and beat Oregon 2 times this yr- excellent coach- I live on the west coast and have watched them play numerous times- only concern is can he recruit the same as Saban and I think he can given the "Bama" name- their offense will be much betterLanning and Norvell turned it down. There were rumors of Sark and he signed an extension last night. They're current target is DeBoer. If that doesn't work they might be in legit trouble.
IMO u r 100% correctDeBoer is better than Norvell.
THINK RUPP… and many of you people who don’t realize the job Joe B. did. He did one of the best jobs EVER in following a legend. This is it. ^^^
It’s not the Blue Blood per say but following the GOAT is damn near impossible.
Think Wooden
Think MJ
Think TB12
It’s a great job but the task is too big for most.
He is a legend. And he will be damn hard to replace.Thankfully Cal is an underachiever and not a legend.
Whoever takes over the program will take a step back from where it is now. I just think about how we got BCG to replace Tubby. Was that the only option?
Can’t quite see that.BCG, while not right for UK, was a night and day improvement over Tubby.
With vacated wins and FF’sHe is a legend. And he will be damn hard to replace.
Certainly not an underachiever.
Look at UMass and Memphis after he left.
No kidding. 48 hours after saban resigned and no one wants to coach there yet they got their #1 choice afterall.Welp......this one didn't age well LOL
They just got the coach from the National Championship game lmfao.Bama may have struck out on every one of their top targets. Guys at good but not great programs like Oregon are staying put. Look at the OP, I’ve seen a lot of weird takes from him/her lately.Welp......this one didn't age well LOL
I hope UCLA stays as terrible as they are now forever.Saban showed a lot of class not announcing his retirement before they played Michigan or announcing after they lost to Michigan, remember John Wooden in 1975 before they played UK and refs helped him his last game plus it took away from Final Four and threw light on him.
To say they turned it down is not fair. They just didn't want to interview and said don't consider me.Lanning and Norvell turned it down. There were rumors of Sark and he signed an extension last night. They're current target is DeBoer. If that doesn't work they might be in legit trouble.
OMG your posts are truly TERRIBLE!BCG, while not right for UK, was a night and day improvement over Tubby.
You are a buffoon.BCG, while not right for UK, was a night and day improvement over Tubby.
He can’t be for real. BCG was a drunken, skirt chasing NIT disaster. You are a buffoon.
BCG, while not right for UK, was a night and day improvement over Tubby.
and I don’t understand this at all. My first and only call would have been to Lane Kiffin.Lanning and Norvell turned it down. There were rumors of Sark and he signed an extension last night. They're current target is DeBoer. If that doesn't work they might be in legit trouble.
and we all social media is the best place for correct informationNot according to basically all the social media and news networks.
If there was ever any doubt left - and there really wasn't - this post definetly proves you are not a UK fan.BCG, while not right for UK, was a night and day improvement over Tubby.
Can you please come back and put an end to this thread and acknowledge how stupid of a post this was. You can’t post something stupid, be proven wrong within a days time and then just disappear.Bama may have struck out on every one of their top targets. I’m not sure how much of a target they were. It’s like Rick Barnes taking his name out of consideration for the Bama job.
Saban likely didn’t up and abruptly retire, there was probably a plan in place complete with his replacement already decided on.
2010 to 2015 Cal probably is irreplaceable. At my day job we had this lady who basically did it all.
They fired her during the middle of our audit.
Point being. Everyone is replacable lol
Real question is do u upgrade or downgrade by doing so lol
In terms of Cal I just wish Cal lovers would concede the point that it could go very well and Cal haters should acknowledge it could also go very wrong
