You're basing Willis d on having to guard the #1 player in the country, which no one has checked all year long. Willis is an average college basketball player, that's it. He does some good and does some bad. Murray has no excuse.

Willis can spot up and shoot but that's about it. The problem is he's not the only one-dimensional player on the team and that's not good.

Simmons was doing nothing until Willis was guarding him but Cal had little choice when Poythress fouled out. It is what it is. You have to put a body on a lottery pick then get the rebound. He struggles with that so he'll struggle getting minutes. True dat! End of story. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Somebody has to rebound the next game Lee or AP get in foul trouble. I give Mulder the minutes Willis gets and Humphries for Skal until those 2 become less one-dimensional. If Wynyard is tough and as hard-nosed as advertised, we may need him sooner rather than later as well.

Willis defense is a 10 point lead to a 16 point lead in the blink of an eye. Solid shooter but needs help in other areas.

I stand corrected. It was 71-63 before Willis sparked a 8-point LSU run started on a shot fake by Patterson. Then came the abuse from Simmons.

Hope he and the entire team learn from that destruction in the paint.
