You are wrong. Play was blown dead were everyone gathered. There was a little bit of jawing happening. That's why the ref was there. The Oats basically walked between the ref and the player and shoved the Mizzou guy. That’s not acceptable. Oats should be getting his guys back not laying hands on an opposing player. Sure Mizzou guy shouldn’t be jawing but for another university employee to be touching a player from another team is over the line. Remember Howard got suspended for getting into it with another coach. While not as “physical” as that was this was unacceptable.
I could get on board with that if he was trying to separate players but that shove was definitely solely out of frustration.
Oats is definitely win at all costs. If it was still possible to cheat, he would definitely would be

If it were a one off sure. Problem is we know the kind of person Oats is.
We do know he’s in the top 3 of Rafters choices on the next UK HC. Rafters loves his modern style of bball and competitiveness.

Absolutely positively nothing from sec leauge will be handed down on Oats! Why you ask? Mike Eades! Head of sec officials in Birmingham AL ! Eades is a big big Alabama guy. Not to mention Mike Eades big "bud"? Yep you guessed it Rooferee! Mike Eades wouldn't piss on cal or the university if it was on fire! HATES UK! HATES COACH CAL! Just like 2 really quick fouls on Bradshaw Saturday at AM, he gave Pat Adam's his marching orders and mission accomplished. This kinda crap shouldn't happen to a program like uk basketball when they have carried this conference's water for 80 years and most of those years nobody (except uk) even cared for basketball! It was just something that happened between football and spring football. This crap wouldn't happen if we had a STRONG AD i.e. CM NEWTON! BUT we don't we don't have strong leader of uk sports therefore we get ZERO close calls on road and maybe 40% at home. Tell me I'm wrong?

Is it? Assault is putting fear of harm into another. Like brandishing a baseball bat at someone. Battery is following through and clocking someone with it. Touching someone in the midst of a heated moment in an athletic competition? "Like handing out speeding tickets at the 500."
Now, Oats set a terrible example, and I don't like Oats. The refs probably should have ejected him. The fabled Bright Line. But ramping up the rhetoric into legal territory is overdoing it.
