I love Amari, but he's so obvious to scout. I just rewatched the Duke game. His over reliance on his strong hand does concern me, and any good team will shut that down. Any thoughts or concerns? Go Cats!!

Too bad Duke isn't a good teamI love Amari, but he's so obvious to scout. I just rewatched the Duke game. His over reliance on his strong hand does concern me, and any good team will shut that down. Any thoughts or concerns? Go Cats!!
Yes, but he did get 12 attempts against Duke, WHY????Yeah but Williams isn’t being relied on for offense
also, just saying, when we play arkansas it won't matter. cal doesn't scout. a human equivalent of the "head on, apply where it hurts" commercial.True, but the question is…does he do that because he cannot go right or because the defender isn’t playing him properly?
Hopefully it’s the latter, and when a defender overplays his left hand, he puts a drop step on him, and goes down the lane, and drops the hammer on the help defender for an and-1!

Coach Pope made the switch to Carr in the Post because Duke had figured out that Williams could only go left.
I have no doubt that from this point forward, Coach Pope will figure out a way to get around it.
Carr isn't super athletic, but he is just a great college PF that gets it done. He is perfect for us.Get good at scoring going left first then maybe we can work on the right. However what he did was physically punish every defender that tried to stop him going to his strength regardless how efficient he was at scoring.
The benefit of him doing that even though it was frustrating to watch is that Andrew Carr took over in the second half down low when the defense legs were drained from guarding him.
AD didn't have to go left, or right for that matter. he could just go up.How many times did Nerlens Noel go right? How many times did AD go left?
A team being able to scout Amari and shut his offense down is the least of my concerns
Maybe as good as anything else, this is an illustration that the person (s) who thinks that Kentucky has peaked is fairly and unequivocally wrong in their assessment. The staff will undoubtedly be looking for these kinds of things throughout the season. No individual's play is static. No team's play is set in concrete. Teams evolve and many things change over the course of the year, many of them for the better. To think or even suggest that one team -- ours -- has peaked after just three games, is likely the thoughts of a brainless partisan who just wishfully hopes that Kentucky is now as good as they will be in March and April. Besides, Amari is giving us some powerful contributions that are surprising and refreshing. I can see some limits to his play and think some of those might be better by the end, but right now see a versatile kid who can do a lot to mitigate the "limitation" of just going left. Kid's a load, and is a great piece on this very mature and high IQ team...what a pleasant surprise that for the first time in many seasons, we can watch our Kentucky kids play fundamentally sound basketball that is difficult to guard and just plain hard to beat.I love Amari, but he's so obvious to scout.
