Anyone Listening to KSR Right Now? Hagans and Cal Fight?

Sure is the perception and based on some first hand accounts from last night looks very real especially coupled with the complete breakdown we suffered.

Seems like you are using one account of a situation to justify your story. You may be close, but you may be way off. I would certainly have to know more before I can believe everything you have tried to put together.

Appeared to be a mistake by assistant telling someone to go into the game-because Barbee was looking down at Juzang when he checked out like "I didn't tell you to go in".

What I'm unaware of and maybe someone can elaborate for me is how UK subs? I work for a coach who makes me do the substitutions and there are times he'll do it on his own but most coaches I've worked for tend to give that job to the staff during a game after going over a plan prior to the game of how they want to use players/divide minutes, etc...

Cal seemed more upset then I've seen him all season with staff last night-specifically with subbing-he got on Justus once and he was on Barbee for another in the game-think it was Brooks coming out with EJ going back in.

I think Cal micromanages to much to give full control over substitutions to the assistants. I don't pay enough attention all of the time but it seems like I mostly see Cal motioning to players to go into the game.

It isn't just one bad half. Hagans has been bad for several games now. Something is going on.
Z, its called pressing. He has 2 choices since this zit has been popped so to speak:
A. Continue playing me first ball, by pressing and turning it over, like he has all of February basically, which will lead to reduced minutes ;or
B. Go back to his pass first, on the ball defense, and let the game come to him and maybe increase his draft stock by making it to Atlanta.

I'll take B for a 800 Alex.

I noticed in the first Auburn game, it looked as if Ashton was sulking whenever he made a turnover. He took his time getting back into play and down to the other end, along with body language that showed he was disinterested in playing hard for the team, while he was not playing well. Just my take from the top level, it did not look like a person that was willing to make whatever sacrifice he needed to for the team's benefit, which is what you would expect of your PG.

He's been doing stuff like that all year. He misses a layup and he stands there in disbelief for a few seconds. He doesn't get a foul called he complains to the ref instead of rushing back on defense. He stays stuck in the moment instead of moving on to the next play. He needs to have a short memory and forget about what happened and worry about what's going to happen.

It was just a little more obvious, because I was at the game. That is the only game I have a chance to see all year. I like in Opelika.

I've caught flack on here for trying to deflect negativity, including against our players, but to me, an attitude problem is a different story. I wasn't a big fan of Harrow or Orton, and I hope that Hagans isn't falling into that category. It's all under his control.

Maybe he'll finally make some assistant changes after the season!

What does Hagans want. He should be kissing Cal's ass..He can be glad I'm not his coach..He took an ill-advised 3 pt shot (0-2) that helped us lose the game..I'm ready to cut his min as PG and give the ball to Maxey..Maybe even try Hagans as 6th man for Juzang or Brooks..

Not a bad Idea for a bit at least. If he feels overshadowed he can run the team when Maxey, Quickley, or JJ need a breather or just playing bad.

I 100% DID NOT. I know you love to fight with people here, but it won't happen with me. Get your facts straight before going after me. I've stayed out of the Hagans conversations for the most part. I'm not sure why you are allowed to act the way you do here, but you're always butthurt about something.

Baller Cat, what a lie! You love to fight with everyone who doesn't agree with you. You were on the post I wrote about Hagan. You start more $hit then anyone on here. You think your opinion is the only one that counts. I ignored you until you made that smart a$$ remark on my post about "saw" or "seen". Are you the teacher. or just a smarta$$? All of us don't suck Cal, and we have our opinion. He makes mistakes, just as we all do, That doesn't mean we don't respect him, or want him fired.

Not at all, I just wonder why you always start threads after a loss and never any other time. Any reason?

Glad you posted this. Last night had a "let them figure it out" feel. For many reasons.. Cal made few adjustments.. he didnt seem to care about the officiating or bad calls... and he was kind of joshing it up with Rick Barnes, where normally, a loss like this would have him furious.

The whole team was off. Weird night for sure.. and while we lost seeding, there wasnt much to "gain" as a team, by winning this game. They needed a bit of a wakeup call.

I think Cal let them collapse to show what happens when they unravel. It’s a great time to do it when we have the SEC locked up. He doesn’t care about seed really so it may be a good thing at the end of the day. I hope it’s that and not total implosion but I trust he will get it fixed.

I just watched the game again for the 2nd time. I still haven't seen this Hagans and Coach Cal thing. When did it happen?

sometimes steam just has to be let off
it will all be fine by Saturday

Boogie and Cal had some pretty heated exchanges, yet they love each other

You can't see it on TV because the camera is focused on UT's end. You can see the part where Brooks puts his arm around Ashton. You could clearly see Ashton was frustrated because he slowly took his time getting to his seat after that 3rd foul.

As for the part about refusing to go back in I don't know. I will say though that it did look like Ashton put his hoodie on around the 16 minute mark. That could be something you'd do if you were going to stay on the bench. He did eventually go back in and play like the last 13 minutes.

Dear Mods: I got banned a while back for waaaaay less than this petty cat fighting bs in this thread. May I ask why these fine posters aren't getting the same penalties? Really. I'd like an explanation. Thanks

The amount of pressure Hagans is under is high, high, high. Cal can be overbearing and hard to deal with. The fans can be a cancer to these young men. We tell them to leave and they suck and then expect them to perform like a circus dog for our amusement. How many of you could handle the pressure?

We are a walk in the park compared to fans in the NBA. Let him play the way he has the past month in LA, Boston, Philly or New York and see how he's treated.

Coach Cal has went out of his way to defend Ashton the ENTIRE season. Heck, he even said on NUMEROUS occasions that he felt he was the BEST PG in the country!! So instead of SULKING over his WRETCHED play lately, why doesn't he get in the gym and work on his game?!!!

These kids can't wait to get to the NBA, but some can't take the criticism that goes along with it. I recall Michael Jordan's Hall of Fame speech where he stated that the criticism of the others DROVE him to greatness. Ja Morant went out and played his best game of the season against LA and Lebron because some random dude on Twitter questioned his desire to win. The kids that make it THRIVE off of negativity. All of the best players have this mentality.

This x 1000.

People act like these kids shouldn't be asked to deal with the pressure--if they want to go to the NBA, it's a lot worse. I'm a Lakers fan. The Lakers board doesn't coddle anyone when they suck.

Oh yea. The snow flake generation. They can’t handle criticism. So they pout and sulk or throw a tantrum.

Baller Cat, the thread I started had nothing to do with the loss. I blamed Hagan, just like a lot of the posters did. After watching the second half, and stopping it several times. I saw that I thought I was wrong. When I'm wrong, I'm man enough to admit it, unlike some people. I have NEVER said I wanted Cal fired, but I don't always agree with his "Dribble Drive." As I've said before, if I know that is all your going to do, and you can't hit the three, then your going to be driving against 5 players, and your not going to get very many offensive rebounds. Look back when we had Cousins, Wall and Bledsoe, against WV. We were the better team, but Huggins made us shoot threes. I think we hit something like 2 out of 33.
As to why I don't get on here much, it's posters like you. You are ready to criticize everyone if they don't agree with you. I'm not interested in arguing with someone on here every time I post. I know we don't all agree, but you seem to never agree with anyone if they don't praise Coach Cal. I saw were you had posted, but I ignored it until your comment about me. I have been following the Cats since probably before you were born. I support them in a lot of ways, and so does my two kids who graduated from there, and as of May, I will have three grandkids who have graduated from there, and two of them will start medical school there in August.

Good for you, though I never take claims on the internet as facts, so I don't believe you.

You said you don't post much, so you have no clue what you're saying about me....... so I don't appreciate you making stuff up. 9 times out of 10, I'm responding to a smart a$$, meaning I didn't start anything with anyone, I simply responded to someone that started something with me. Agree to disagree. I also don't have a problem with Cal being criticized, nor do I have a problem with someone disagreeing with me. It's when people go overboard when I think it's dumb. You saying things like he's winning "in his mind" is meritless. You repeatedly calling me a "Cal sucker" is meritless and vulgar. Have fun only starting threads after losses. I'll count on it.

Baller. you are a habitual liar when you say you don't have a problem with someone disagreeing with you. You have a problem with everyone who doesn't agree with you and everything Cal does.
I'll make you a deal. I will NEVER respond to any post you put on here. My MOM told me to never argue with a fool, because they will beat you down to their level, and win every time.
I would appreciate it if you would never respond to anything I post.

Whatever floats your boat. Practice what you preach. I disagreed with your take and you proceeded to call me “Cal sucker”, repeatedly. You can’t take it when you are disagreed with or proven wrong. Did she teach you to call people “Cal Sucker”or did you pick up that vulgarity at Duffy’s?

No, I got that $hit watching you disagree with everyone. Just as you are criticizing all the Big Blue Fans that go to Duffy's to watch the Cats. Please don't post anything on any of my posts, and this will be my last post on anything you put on here. I guarantee you will respond, because you are one of the idiots that has to have the last word.

LOL, you smart off and then say don’t reply. Life doesn’t work that way. Take the last word. I couldn’t care less.....Hey, do all the people at Duffy’s call Cal supporters “Cal Suckers” like you do? I bet they don’t. Ya know, because most of us support Cal because he coaches UK. Duh.

Lol, what?? Let me get this straight...you’d be upset if he just went in the game all normal like when his coached asked...vs throwing a tantrum like he did? The latter is what shows you “competitiveness” and what you want? Are you under the age of 25 by chance?
I feel like it, but I’m 59. What I’m talking about is a competitor being FIRED UP VS some other players we have had in the past that seemed to just go through the motions some games. No, I don't condone or allow back talk, from my own 4 kids OR kids I have coached.
