Yea sir, I would love to get that young lady as well. She’s a big time player and great teammate from what I’ve saw about her. I would try to get as many from that program who could play here. lol. Very well coached and disciplined. Actually there’s some really good players in Kentucky and hopefully with Kentucky turning into a great program the next few years we should really get some good ones. Best hire we could’ve hoped for in my opinion.

I mean signing her to a contract extension after one lucky SEC run was dumb.
Well we all know who is in charge of contracts at UK and he isn’t very smart. Look at Joker, BCG, Cal’s lifetime contract , and Stoops contract now just to name a few. He basically handcuffs the University to the point you can’t fire these coaches when their program’s are in a death spiral.
All these contracts have to be approved by the BoT. Mitch doesn't just have carte blanche to issue any contract he wants. The Elzy extension was definitely a mistake. Cal/Stoops at the time weren't. If MB had let either of those 2 guys walk over a contract dispute, the fanbase would've tarred and feathered him. Its easy to judge the contracts now but you also have to judge based on the situations at the time they were signed. At that time, Stoops and Cal had all the leverage to ask for what they wanted and MB would have been destroyed here and elsewhere if he let either of them walk at that time.
Looks like UL. They are a juggernaut.

The Cavinder twins made a lot more than a couple hundred dollars. The numbers are much higher than that.

Brooks recruited her while he was at Va Tech! She said she didn’t like the area, but when he came to UK she was excited to visit..

They aren’t even the highest. Johnson from LSU amc Bueckers from UCONN are 1 and 2. Are thdy getting theirs by being “special”. The majority of the list is based solely on basketball.
Those On3 valuations are just fake numbers generated by an algorithm as far as I'm concerned. It's based on social media subscribers, and who knows how many of those subscribers are just bots? I have never heard of any of these women's players getting anywhere close to their "valuations" at the college level for solely playing basketball. They are absolutely meaningless until we can tie real numbers related to what they are getting for solely playing basketball because there is no way that the Cavinders should be paid more than JuJu Watkins on basketball value.

Their haul includes Hailey Von Lith, Sedona Prince, Maddie Scherr, and they formerly had a commitment from one of the Cavinder twins. We need to know what they are offering because they might be the ones actually setting the market.

should there be any concern about us swinging and missing on all of these really good in state players in the class of 25 ?

I dont see it as a concern at all, unfortunate to see where our program was at when these girls were going through the recruiting process

You forgot Ciara Byars from GRC, who recently committed to Michigan.
Don’t think the same vibe is there for womens pgm. UL has been better for quite awhile for those thinking of staying home.
UK has been down since MM left. Brooks will turn it around but it will take afew years. Some success this year would get the ball rolling

Me too. It's probably not much consolation if she doesn't choose the Cats, but UK wasn't even in her final 12 until Brooks was hired. Now UK is in her final 3. That alone demonstrates that she really appreciates the Coach Brooks hire, and so will others going forward.
