Allen for Duke trips another player...no foul called

Dear Grayson,

You play for Duke and you are taught to do dirty things during the game. That is your right as a Duke player to trip without having a foul called. What we do not appreciate is you getting caught. Learn to do this in the flow of the game better.

BTW, this thread does not show up for me anymore. I had to use the search function. I think maybe I have the OP on ignore. Only reason I can think of.

I can see it fine, but I've had one not show up before.

It was when David Blatt got fired. I couldn't believe no one had posted about it several hours later.

They had, I just couldn't see it.

Grayson Allen is a thug.

No. Tripping someone under the guise of being "tangled up," is a passive-aggressive pu**y move. It's screams punk-a$$, not thug. A thug would be more direct in their aggression. It's as simple as that. I'm not sure why some people(not you) have to see covert racism everywhere, and in everything. That seems to speak volumes on what's in their own hearts, more so than what they infer on others. Ok, I'm off my soapbox for tonight,

Well sure, someone could get hurt, but I don't think it is as wildly dangerous as some are making it out to be. I mean, sticking your foot out is something little kids do. Given the insane physicality of basketball, the boxing out and the jumping and the charging and the blocking... I think people are overblowing the actual danger of it. Totally a cheap shot and deserved at least a foul, but I don't think it deserves some of the anger over the potential for getting hurt that it has generated. I mean... You watch an MMA fight, and nobody gets knocked out by a somewhat wimpy trip... They get teeth knocked out with elbows and the like:)

To be clear, not excusing it at all; cheap and stupid. Just saying it was not some truly dangerous, dangerous play.

You have never been to a doctor, have you?

I'm your huckleberry.....He's a thug

Also, as many douchbag players as Coach K has had at Duke over the years it raises one question. Does he recruit douchbags or does he convert them to douchbags when he gets them there?
No. He be dat thugs bitchessst...

He also went after a player's knee during the ND game:

Never mind that he was going for the ball and then completely ignore that he took an elbow below the chin from Zach Auguste. I'll admit the elbow he took was inadvertent, but I do find it hilarious that the title of the video includes "then flops."

Here he claws at an IU player, then flops to draw the flagrant foul:

And again ignore the play on the ball as well as the shove from Robert Johnson, which results in a "flop."

Remember the trips last year from Winslow?

I do remember the trip and kick to the chest he made in the second Carolina game (don't remember which specific players he pulled those stunts against). I do remember shaking my head at how stupid he was for pulling those stunts right after they happened. However, I will say that I don't remember nearly the outrage from the media about it. Heck, there wasn't the same media outrage when Allen tripped Ray Spalding. And I thought that one was worse than the one last night.

Gayson had a great teacher:

I forgot about this one admittedly. It also didn't get the same media outrage as Allen's trip from last night even though it's worse than that and perhaps worse than Allen's trip of Ray Spalding not long ago. If it's not worse than the trip of Spalding, it's on par with it IMO. Go figure...

A letter of what? Has anyone even heard of such a thing? Created just for Duke? Jesus.
A quick on line search shows the ACC did this to 3 football officials in 2012(for failing to flag a late hit by an FSU player on a Duke player and on one occasion to Karl Hess)those were the specific ones that I found. They suspended the FSU player 1 game.It makes sense now,Duke has been reffing their own games for years,it only seems fair that their players should be disciplined like officials

The outrage from the media is happening NOW because the little prick has done this twice in two weeks.
