Alabama is desperate to stay on top of the football world and willing to go after anyone to keep them there. Latest offer is to D J Lagway, QB Florida. It is a wild world out there.

Somewhat related - On3 seems to try and measure portal transfer fees and quantify school's NIL budgets. I don't know what any of that is based on. Industry sources seem skeptical and that they are mostly just making it all up to have something that people want to talk about...kind of star rankings 20 years ago.

I’ve not looked into that website, so I’m not saying they aren’t legitimate. I’m just trying to understand why you thought they were trustworthy.

Lagway is tied to Napier. If UF had fired Napier, Lagway was going with him. But as someone said this is a BS report.

Not a huge deal, people throwing stuff on the wall to see what sticks. Another out there that lagway has some kind of shoulder issue. Don't know if that's true or not, but he isn't throwing this spring.

Brass and boosters knew Lagway, along with some of the other young talent, would go with him. Most likely to an SEC rival that would have snatched Napier before he could clear out his office.

As far as Bama offering, no surprise. Lagway is the real deal and folks will be trying to court him til he goes pro.

Gators could surprise some folks this year and make a little noise.

Billy exceeded the expectations I had for UF last year. They have been working hard to make improvements during the off season. Schedule is still going to be tough, but wouldn't surprised me to see them win 10, or 6. Everyone has a tough schedule. Here is the deal with Billy, if he is successful at UF and Deberg struggles at Bama, Napier to Bama would be a done deal. He is a lifelong Bama fan.
