I agree. Hindsight is 20/20. You can always question any play call that doesn’t work. But what would you trust more, Miroe’s arm or Milroe’s legs? I think he was running all the way. Michigan’s DL just whipped Alabama’s OL.

Milroe was ordinary because of poor OL play. Their lack of a consistent running game also hurt their cause. Milroe struggled but it's not all on him.

That’s a good breakdown of what was intended, but I still don’t see where they were that “close.” Looks to me like the play was doomed from the start.
But, yeah, the original tweet guy who claimed it was an RPO was full of shit. That was always a planned run play.
Good breakdown but still reluctant to put the appropriate fault on milroe. RT definitely blown up and snap is off, but if milroe doesn't lose his mind and just barrel forward - he scores.

More to that was the OC Rees saying that it was a run/pass option. If Milroe wanted to, he could've flipped the ball to the RB.
