When pastor Scott said no Mitch couldn’t handle it. When the lady you always planned to take to prom doesn’t go, sometimes u just have to settle for taking your cousin and hoping your classmates don’t know.
Pope has lost 15 games 3 times, at least 10 games in 7 of his 9 seasons, never won a regular season title.

How could you not at least wait for Donovan if you don't want Pitino? All that experience and reputation going for Donovan, he could have hit recruiting hard right off.

I tried to give this a wait and see approach and MB the benefit of the doubt, but I am not sure what on earth happened. There hasn't been enough time to work your way to a Mark Pope offer if you are thinking clearly.

Yeah... I hate it for him. The fanbase is overwhelmingly opposed to hiring him, instead of a triumphant return he comes in with the fans upset that he's the hire.
That’s my exact feelings. My reaction is less about the music stopping on Pope and more about the order of candidates and the completely rushed result
How in the hell this man stays employed is beyond me. Most AD's would have been shitcanned after the first terrible hire to their powerhouse program. He has been given opportunity after opportunity to fix his f*** ups and still makes them.

Hopefully there will be such a revolt among the BoT and the boosters that Mitch will be forced to step aside and this disaster stopped before it is made official.

I wonder if Barnhart even studied what Pope has done in all phases the last few years? Because when I look at those things I do not see the stats for him being ready for a program like this.

Yes. Anything would be better than making the worst hire in the history of sports. Mitch needs to resign, right now. He's clearly too damned incompetent to run this athletic department. I think Pope is a good coach and fit for the program in many ways. Is it the case that we worked our way down the list through back channels and got really unanticipated feedback from likely candidates? I think that is info that I'd need to know before I come out too strongly either way.
When Mitch couldn’t get bottom position under pastor Scott tonight in his California king, he panicked and just picked a random name.
