#6 Zags: 101. #8 Baylor: 63

Your reply to us playing those 3 teams was that Pope understood the assignment as if he had anything to do with us playing those games, and that Cal didn't understand that when he is the one who had a hand in 2 of the 3 games mentioned. We all hate Cal, but your comment just logically didn't make any sense. You never said those words but that's what people extrapolate from what you said. It's either that's what they get from it, or they have know idea what you're talking about.

I'm fairly sure Pope will get us out of the CC type events and schedule more home and homes since that's how it was when he played. I also believe he'll get us back into Maui(FINALLY!!! Cal pissed me off with not wanting to be in it or others such as the PK80, I'm looking forward to the schedules in a few years with him spearheading it)
My reply had nothing to do with scheduling games. You're projecting. No matter what the schedule is, you try to win the games. Cal never understood that part. That's the part pertaining to Pope. Too many folks around here making excuses.

You never mentioned anything about winning games. What you replied to was about scheduling so I'm not sure where your train of thought is. Projecting what? Where is there projection there? I talked about the topic that you replied to, nothing else. What would I be projecting?

You know something and I know Cal's last few years here clouds some judgement but...........Cal did an awful lot of winning in his career for a guy that supposedly didn't understand or care about winning lol.

That’s exactly what he was replying to. He knows nothing about basketball and every post is bashing a former coach.

They weren't great last year. I'll hold my breath on them. I expect them to be decent though.

This is kinda a marking year for Few. Can he finally win one? If he doesn't this year, not sure I think he ever can.
The last thing you said sounds like something that could have been said 5 years ago as well. It's always been that way with the zags. I say eventually they will get one you can't be that good for that long and not have it go your way at some point.

if the game was on a true neutral court I think we'd have beaten gonzaga unless a really awful shooting night occurs. Both teams have good offense, good shooters and what separates both of us from many teams is the big men are such good passers and scoring threats themselves that the bigs make the right passes for assists that defenses just cant stop. At Gonzaga I expect us to lose as they'll get a home court whistle we never get sadly.

But we have a better defensive starting 5, and we have better jump shooters and deeper team. But like with against Duke, its year 1, as long as we make the game entertaining and fun and play with the same fire and heart we have in our 2 exb games and against Wright State i'm ok with 2 OOC losses to Duke and Gonzaga..

Also if we had played Baylor with how pathetic they were playing, we'd have won by the same amount, they barely played better than AZ St did against Duke.

I genuinely believe that the 3 best teams in the country are Duke, Gonzaga, and Alabama, and we got all 3 of them. This might be the toughest schedule we have ever had but I'm excited for the journey.

Jury is still out on Duke
