Winning championship trophies is what sports is about last time I checked.

Not Georgia not Alabama not any team other than Kentucky is playing for five straight bowl WINS. Alabama had their streaked snapped last year at 4.

Kentucky owns it and we will continue to extend it in January. To me the bowl streak is Mark Stoops lasting legacy. Nobody will ever coach here and win four straight bowl games or make it to seven straight bowl games period. end of story

Sure I can. Georgia and Alabama are not going for their fifth straight bowl win in 2022. Nor are the other 129 NCAA teams.
Nope only Kentucky gets to play for the 5th Straight bowl championship. That's called having a successful football program. Putting trophies in a trophy case my friend. Not sitting at home late December early January.


When Stoops leaves it'll go back to where it was. Just like when Rich Brooks left and it went back to where it was.

I don't think that's true at all. Kentucky fans should be proud of that win streak. We came from nothing.
And now we've been to seven straight bowl games and we've won four straight. That's something to stick your chest out and be proud about and if you don't think so then you're not a real fan and don't understand where this program came from and what it's been through.

I’m a UK fan and I’m not part of this ‘we’ you keep mentioning. ‘We’ don’t accept an epic loss to Vandy (at home) when they’re at half strength and have almost a 40 game SEC losing streak. ‘We’ think this team had more fan support and administration support than any UK team has ever had. ‘We’ think they’ve quit and Georgia will beat us like a drum.

We barely squeaked out a win, didn’t you watch the game? Up 27-7 with 13 minutes to play. James Franklin handed us the game by kicking the FG with a few minutes left. Won despite Stoopsy.

Also, Alabama lost to Georgia in the national title game. The bowl winning streak means zilch. They’re playing much better opponents every year in “bowls”/playoffs.

Georgia will be playing for a National Championship. If you think getting in the playoffs is less important than going to some bowl game, your the problem not the solution. Getting in the playoffs actually helps recruiting but in all these bowl games UK has won what player did the bowl game affect Recruiting. Uk is like a golfer who can’t break 80. Try as they might they eventually shoot 79 and keep playing but to be really good you have to shot under par. Winning bowl games will not get UK under par, but having the attitude of Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and any school who want to be more than what UK is now, will.

We had went to a bowl game in 5 of the 7 years prior to the Stoops hire. When teams got to start scheduling three cupcake games in 2006, just getting to a bowl became irrelevant.. The overwhelming majority of college football team's become bowl eligible each year.

Stoops has done well here, but that doesn't mean that he is putting an entertaining product on the field. We have been horrible offensively since he came here.

We took a dramatic step backwards this season. A development like that can easily kill a program like UK. That is why people are so pissed off. And we've now hit rock bottom. It doesn't get much worse than losing at home to a Vandy team that hadn't won a conference game in three years.

We have serious, serious problems that need addressing. Our OC and OL coach need to be sent packing. I think the shit show they've brought to Lexington is largely the biggest cause of our problems. This offense is simply too complicated and the play-calling highly suspect. They can't score points. So the offense largely gave up. The defense was good for most of the season, but because the offense sucks so much, the D has now given up too. This team has quit because the coaching staff hasn't put them in a position to succeed.

We need a new OC and OL coach. And we need to hire a dedicated special teams coach, for the love of all that is holy. If I have to watch another season of special teams bumbling one play after another, I might jump off a cliff.

If Stoops recognizes these are problems and makes fixes to address them, then I'm good. But if not, my anger is going to turn in his direction. There's too much talent on this team to suck this badly. It is inexcusable and needs to be fixed, pronto.
