BUT..... As the thread says we are a four straight defending bowl champion going for our fifth. We currently hold the record for consecutive bowl victories.
Winning championship trophies is what sports is about last time I checked.

This will be our 7th straight time playing for a bowl championship.

The problem is, Stoops himself told us to expect more.
That's the worst loss I've ever seen us take. And I go back to the Fran Curci days. We had absolutely zero fight or effort. That's inexcusable. I don't give a shit about the last few years, I care about now, and this team looks like a Bill Curry failure.

There are 43 bowl games for the 2022-23 postseason. 43!!!! When I was a kid growing up there was maybe 10-12 bowl games. If there aren’t enough 6 win teams then sub .500 teams can get in.

Nope. That's State. Vandy is situated in the largest municipality of any school in the conference. Better to refer to them as "Chalmers University". Ole Miss is "Buffy University".

I look at it like this: easy bowl game, easy win. Continue the streak with 5 straight bowl victories. At this point I want to play Po-Dunk University. I just want to win the bowl game and call it a season.

Sure I can. Georgia and Alabama are not going for their fifth straight bowl win in 2022. Nor are the other 129 NCAA teams.
Nope only Kentucky gets to play for the 5th Straight bowl championship. That's called having a successful football program. Putting trophies in a trophy case my friend. Not sitting at home late December early January.


When Stoops leaves it'll go back to where it was. Just like when Rich Brooks left and it went back to where it was.

You do realize that more often than not UGA and Bama are actually in the 4 team playoff right? Playing against the absolute best teams for 'actual' championships. I'm pretty sure both Bama and UGA would have won all 4 bowl games that UK won and probably by a lot greater margins. They'd probably be 6-0 each against our bowl foes and going for 7 straight. The flip side of that is, UK hasn't sniffed making it to the playoff.

Only 30 percent of the teams don't play in a bowl game. Adding the extra cupcake in 2006 made it a lot easier for P5 schools to go bowling. Louisville not being very good since Lamar has also helped. That's four wins outside of conference play. Stoops has done good and recruited at another level, but I'm tired of watching ten years of bad offensive football. Coen gave me hope, but Scang might be the worst OC we have had considering the talent he has.
