“Kentucky- Youngstown St “ GAME THREAD

I want one more year of Levi’s, so I’m fine with a pick here and there as long as it doesn’t cost us a game.

Levis looks EXTREMELY uncomfortable in the pocket right now... We need the OL to settle down, and let him get comfy in the pocket.

They need to stop running to the left. The left side of that line is getting destroyed every play. The right side appears to be winning a bit. They need to set the strong side to the left and run it to the weak.

I refuse to pull out a hat for the a cats to win this game.

im going tough love on em

they gotta do it themselves

Maybe trying to get them experience versus a lesser opponent… problem is they’re making the lesser look greater!

Mark Richt once said he would rather schedule a low-performing P5 team than a "winning program" at the FCS level. He said the winning program FCS teams have good talent (albeit a 63 man roster), are typically well coached, are used to winning, and almost always play better than pre-game expectations.

Part of CMS's staff task this week was to get the team to look at this game like a P5 rivalry.

Hopefully we'll get on track soon.

GBB!

If we’re relying on our own false starts to prevent idiot throws, well then, we’re old Kentucky again
It was going to be a tight window but the Brown ran a terrible route which is what allowed the DB to undercut it.

Out of the break he had the DB beat which makeit look open. Brown started to drift upfield towards the end zone and it allowed the db to make up ground and close the window. If he keeps running his route across the field he stays open.

Key and Brown are immense talents but they both run routes like freshmen that are use to let in the athleticism get them open instead of crisp route running. Coen was big on focusing on teaching the difference route running makes (I.e Cooper Kupp effect) but I’ve seen a ton of rounded off routes and letting the DB push you to the sideline on fades instead of holding the numbers and giving the QB space to throw you to the sideline

Robinson and the TEs run the best routes…as they should since they are upperclassmen

How many more times will the OC call a run play to the left side and lose yards before realizing it isn't working?
Yeah....I know the coaches keep saying Jager Burton is fine and Wohlbaugh was the issue....but he's getting handled again today. I'd love to see us move Horsey back to guard and work in Goodwin at LT. We've weakened two spots by moving Horsey around IMO

The left side of our line is getting eaten alive!!! Why keep running the outside zone if our line can’t get out on their quicker players????!!!!!

This just blows my mind!!!

First quarter summary. Offensive line bad. Defense good. Left side of the offensive line without Manning, especially bad.

Or if the defense has 8/9 guys in the box….CHECK TO SOMETHING ELSE WILL LEVIS.

I don’t know what we’re doing. Like we scripted all these plays and are going to run them no matter what.

Throw the damn ball.

Really inspiring first quarter. Woof.

Meanwhile Georgia is about to go up three scores on USCjr in their first qtr.

This offense needs to develop a killer mentality.
Unfortunately....until this OL gets it's crap fixed....we can't develop any mentality. CRod getting back will help. But it's on the Oline to establish something
