It appears heisman either loves or doesn't understand logical fallacies in arguments. I'd bet it's the second.
Again. Calling people and the media out for making a national sensation about a death of a lion yet these same people and media don't bother to get this upset over abortion is no error. Just shows their ridiculousness. To spell it out one more time. A LOT (not saying you can't be upset about both) gets their world rocked over the death of an animal but not a baby.
I am more concerned with Planned Parenthood selling baby parts on the black market.
You're absolutely right. Cecil has been a hot button topic for more than 50 years, has been a constant distraction in our politics, has received tons of news coverage and legislative attention, and has resulted in everything from boycotts to zoo bombings.
Meanwhile, abortion is relegated to being a mere social media fad that'll be forgotten within a week.

I want to amend my previous post about whether the dentist knew what he was doing. This is a guy who has been on numerous hunts all over the world. Once the guides start to rush forward and try to remove the tag, the dentist had to know what was going on by then.......and yet, his first thought was "I need a selfie."

Abortion has been discussed for centuries. It's still discussed every day and when a news event regarding abortion occurs it gets coverage - lots of it, like the PP interview. The incident with the lion was NEWS so it got covered on the NEWS, and the media was following the lead of social media. When millions of people are aroused by an issue like this enough to discuss it, obviously the media will cover it.
You can also argue that Lindsey Graham calling Donald Trump a "jackass" is not as important as reducing the $17 Billion deficit, but the former got the front page recently while the later was not mentioned. The former was NEWS for that day and attracted people's attention.

You Anti-Dentites ready to extradite the guy to Zimbabwe to face a firing squad crack me up. I don't applaud his shoddy behavior. But if this was an average week, there were 35 children murdered in America while we wrung our hands over a scrofulus, flea-infested feline whose most noble attribute was slaughtering baby Gazelles. Shake off your inner Mia Farrow and man up. If you have extra outrage, research one of this week's child murders and spend it on that.

First it was the gays, then the white trash battle flag, then briefly ISIS, now Planned Parenthood. Angriest mofos on the net by a mile. It's like the redneck version of the 99-percenters or "Give burger flippers a billion bucks an hour" crowd.
The "Why do you care about __________ (insert something someone is passionate about) when ______________ (insert something others who hold a complete 180 worldview are passionate about)?" fallacy is one of the worst things the Internet has given us.
I don't care about abortion because I'm a childless dude who doesn't think men should tell women what to do with the CELLS in their bodies. I'm socially super-effing-liberal, non-religious and huge fan of INDIVIDUAL liberty.
Don't like abortion? Don't get one (Same goes for Lifetime movies, ESPN talk shows and same-sex marriage). Prohibition doesn't work (see booze, pot), so outlawing it like the GOP is pretending it wants to do, although they've had numerous chances, will just lead to more back alley abortions instead of safe procedures performed under medical supervision. In reality it's a wedge issue to get the bible-thumpers to the polls. It's a brilliant strategy. And it's one of the reasons I don't eff with politics. Both sides are too shady and are easy to see through if you have any sense. (It's akin to the "War on Women" strategy the Dems successfully used on Romney in 2012 or the "marriage amendments" placed on the ballots in red-leaning swing states in 2004. Blue team pandered to women; red team pandered to evangelicals)

I guess I would just like more awareness for all poaching. I've had the opportunity to be right up next to a lion and pet it and just observe...amazing creatures. I just never understood why humans think they're above all other species.

He should be shot and his head mounted. I just don't understand what people get out of just killing an animal for a trophy. It is not that hard to bait an animal then put a bullet in it from 100+ yards. Want to impress me, then kill it with a knife. I am all for hunting , if you are going to eat the meat.

RE: Facebook outrage. My favorite takeaway from this is the people who say "hunt him down and chop off his head" are the same ones who are anti-death penalty for criminals. 
Are those animals endangered? Protected by law? Do you use bait to lure them out of protected reserves? Then illegally try to destroy their GPS collars?
