So you don't think Hilary has done anything wrong? Like using a private, personal email server that she let other people at state use as well, while Bill was getting 500K is speaking fees? After knowing all this you trust her to tell the truth about anything? If you vote for her, this is what you are saying.

Astonishing thought process:

JUAN WILLIAMS: I love free speech, but what I see is Pam Geller's behavior is causing people to lose their focus on free speech as the essential right of American life -- instead they are focusing on her antics. Because she engaged in gratuitous offensive behavior that led to the deaths of two people. The shooting of a security guard for no reason.

All things bush should be banned from politics. Ronald regan said it best; the scariest words you can ever hear are; I am a politician, I am here to help. I respected what bush sr stood for but w, was a joke. If another bush somehow is elected to presidency prepare for the great recession part 2. Your not going to find ole W in the primaries pimping out any republican nominee. He has the likeness of Herbert Hoover or Franklin pierce another bad president related to Barbara bush. Say what you want about bill Clinton or Hillary for that matter, but growing up in the 90s the man did a good job as commander and chief. Clinton had his vices, but what president didn't? Chicks dig the saxophone. Clinton left office with a 60% approval rating as well as a surplus. Not many can say that. i truly think Hillary will win in a landslide especially if it gets bill back in the White House. I have a better chance than Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio. That being said, I would vote for rand Paul or Chris Christie. As long as they stick to their beliefs. In the end I really don't think it will matter unless saint regan is somehow resurrected for the nomination. Like it or not Hillary will be president 45. She may not be the best choice to the haters, but like Obama people who have never voted before will go out and vote just to see a woman president. Sarah palin easily costed McCain the election and set republican women in poltics back 50 yeaholdss.

P.s.
The tea party sucks, they are slowly killing the Republican Party
let me guess you voted for Barack Obama who is the biggest spending liberal socialist that has ever been president of the United States... The man is a complete joke and a disgrace to the office that he now holds...

Got to admit the GOP has sucked at picking candidates last 2 cycles. Obama and the media made sure to tear them down. Mitt probably would have made a good POTUS, but he was too wimpy, and a terrible campaigner.
What killed Romney was the lies that were allowed to be told about him that the press wouldn't vet , but expounded upon it...Like the lie Dingy Harry was allowed to spout and now proudly admits it was with the quote "Well he didn't win did he"...The man is by far the biggest crook and liar that ever severed...He has been the biggest obstructionist for things getting done in the last eight years and the GOP got all the blame...If Hillary is elected it will probably be eight more of the same

People lied about a presidential candidate? I find that difficult to believe.

People lied about a presidential candidate? I find that difficult to believe.
Senate leader on the floor falsely stating a candidate for POTUS paid no income taxes is not a run of the mill political lie. Interestingly one of the LV Sun reporters was basically fired for writing about it, from HuffPol:

In the wake of Harry Reid's recent interview on CNN, in which the Senate minority leader seemed unapologetic for erroneously accusing Mitt Romney of tax evasion in 2012, political journalist Jon Ralston published a scathing column on Reid on his website Wednesday.

The piece slammed Reid's "ruthless, Machiavellian side," calling the senator "both fearless and shameless," while likening his tactics to Joseph McCarthy and the Salem witch trials.

The column was not written in light of Reid's demeanor on CNN earlier this week, however, but three years ago during the 2012 presidential election. Ralston claims Reid's hometown paper, The Las Vegas Sun, killed the piece because of ties between the senator and Brian Greenspun, the paper's CEO, publisher and editor.

"Now that CNN's Dana Bash has found Harry Reid to be unrepentant about his Mitt Romney tax lies, it's finally time to publish a column I wrote contemporaneously with the Nevada senator's McCarthy-like tactic during the 2012 campaign," the introduction to the piece reads. "The column was never published because Las Vegas Sun Editor Brian Greenspun attempted to protect his friend, Reid, from the criticism."

"I never wrote for the Sun again," he continued.

Oh man, not just anyone, but a politician lied? Heaven save us

A Vice President lied to our faces about a VP candidate's attendance record
A President lied to our faces about whether certain insurance plans would be banned
A President lied to our faces about a blowjob

You'd think people wouldn't be shocked by this stuff anymore.

With his recent visit to South Dakota, Obama has now visited 50 states.

Only 7 more to go... according to him.

So all lies are the same and there are no lines to cross. Everything is accepted as such. Everyday we expect less and less. And get it.

I'm really starting to think that Will T Scott is way to go in next week's primary. The Heiner/Comer thing is a real turnoff.

I really have no take, haven't read up on it at all, regarding the trade bill but it is very interesting to see such disarray on who supports each side....Mitch with the WH, Reid with the TP group, etc.

NBC is accusing Obama of lying about the Bin Laden raid. Apparently, Pakistani officials played a major role but Obama wanted all the credit. It also makes the decision to make the raid a no brainer when you have permission from the Pakistani government.

"Among the explosive claims that Hersh makes in the piece:

  • The Pakistanis had been essentially holding bin Laden captive at the Abbottabad compound for years before raid.
  • The CIA learned of bin Laden's location from a Pakistani intelligence official who tipped off American operatives hoping to claim the $25 million bounty on the terror leader - not from interrogation of an al-Qaeda courier.
  • Top American officials negotiated with Pakistani officials to let them carry out the operation to kill bin Laden on Pakistani soil.
  • There was no vaccination program used to obtain the DNA from bin Laden's compound - it was all made up as part of an elaborate cover-story after the fact.
  • The Pakistani intelligence service, ISI, cut power to the neighborhood where bin Laden was hiding on the day of the raid and made sure no Pakistani forces would not interfere with the American choppers flying into sovereign airspace.
  • There was no firefight during the SEAL raid - the only shots fired were those that killed bin Laden, whom Hersh described as a 'cowering' and 'unarmed' when he was assassinated.
  • Bin Laden was cut off from al Qaeda no longer running the terrorist group at that point.
  • There was almost no useful intelligence information found in his compound.
  • After he was killed, bin Laden was buried at sea, but instead buried in Afghanistan.
  • Obama publicly announced the commando raid and claimed public credit for it, despite agreeing with the Pakistanis to keep the action secret for seven days.
  • The U.S. president was to eventually say bin Laden had been killed in a drone strike.
  • Obama's announcement badly alienated Pakistani leaders and all but obliterated the military and intelligence ties between the two nations."....

If there was any doubt in your mind that the Rs also don't give a shit about the country, this trade deal fiasco should clear it all up for you.

Obama has done nothing but shit on the Constitution since he's been in office. The Republicans have talked about how bad it is, but have refused to do anything (because obviously, they don't really care).

Now they're actually pushing a top secret deal, to apparently give Obama all sorts of new powers. I'm all for trade, but I'd imagine as strong as the dollar is right now, you'd want to hesistate to enter into any new agreements that makes it easier/cheaper to outsource.

But hey, thank god Alison Grimes isn't in office to really hurt the country.

I'll withhold judgment on the Bin Laden stuff until we figure out who is more dishonest, the Obama Administration or the Pakistanis.

The idea that the Saudi government would spend years funding some top-secret inprisonment for bin Laden instead of just killing him (or turning him over to the U.S.) is pretty funny. They were pretty much the only country that hated the guy more than we did.

Perhaps there's some kernel of truth at the heart of that Hersch piece, but it doesn't really pass the smell test right now.

Honest question (I not big on world politics), why did the Saudis hate Bin Laden?

I thought they funded 9/11 and donated a few guys to the cause.

Saudi government =/= individual Saudi (and more generally Gulf) funding sources for terrorism.

The Saudi *government* held bin Laden as a mortal enemy for nearly 2 decades. Revoked his citizenship, banned him from coming back to the peninsula (even for the hajj), and did everything they could to limit his activities in their country.

Most of it stems from bin Laden's outrage that the Saudis let the West station troops on Arab soil during the first Gulf War. Bin Laden considered it a cardinal sin to have a Christian "crusader" army in the holiest territories of Islam. His list of grievances later grew as he cast the house of Saud as being decadent, unislamic, and unreasonably aligned with the West instead of with other Arab countries.

Bin Laden ended up calling for the overthrow of the Saudi monarchy and worked pretty hard to make it happen. Understandably, the Saudi government didn't take kindly to that.

Also, regarding the first Gulf War: it was more of an inferiority complex-driven shit fit on bin Laden's part rather than a religious argument (although he used the latter as his recruiting tool and public justification, obviously). In reality, his ego had swollen to huge proportions after his NATO-funded mujahideen had defeated the soviets in Afghanistan. He felt like his God-backed religious guerrillas could defeat anybody.

When Saddam invaded Kuwait, bin Laden thought his big chance to debut as a liberator in the Sunni lands had come. But when the Saudis instead opted for the international coalition (and actually told bin Laden to stay out of it), he took personal offense. It wasn't just that he wasn't given the opportunity to liberate Kuwait and defeat a secular dictator like Saddam; it was that the Saudis would actually beg infidels for help.

Regarding the Bin Laden thing, the truth is prolly in the middle somewhere. I've never understood Obama making a big deal over killing Bin Laden, and yet has real problems with GITMO. Makes no sense........

Of course it doesnt. He is so outraged and offended we have muslims in cages down in Gitmo, yet routinely signs off on drone strikes that kill muslims (potential enemies of America, along with some innocent bystanders who happen to be close by) all the time during all his years as President.

liberal logic. torture & imprisonment is the worst thing ever done by this country in all our history. but killing with antitank hellfire missiles without a trial is perfectly fine and acceptable. Oh and killing some other folks who made the bad choice of being nearby one of our targets at the wrong place/wrong time, that never gets talked about by Code Pink or all the blowhard Progressives who made a living trashing Dubya Bush & American Troops from 2004-2008. Where did Cindy Sheehan go anyway?

Honestly, getting re-elected always been #1 priority with Obama, to keep the socialist train moving. If that means lying about Benghazi, or claiming credit for killing Bin Laden, then 'the needs of they many outweigh the needs of the few'.

DWS.

I never believe everything our government tells us, but some parts of this just doesn't make sense. One thing that always struck me as odd though, was the immediate at sea burial. All we've been left with is the word of politicians, and the soldiers on the ground (many of whom have died at a young age, for one reason or another). I don't know what really happened. But Im pretty sure it didn't all go down just like weve been told.

That's not correct. The bullet point's you listed are from an article written my journalist Sy Hersch. It's been 100% disputed by every major news source, except for the fact that the Pak's were aware of Bin Laudin's location prior to.

NBC is accusing Obama of lying. Just read the first paragraph from the article. The bullet points as you noted are from Hersch's book. However, NBC did its own investigation and concluded that Obama lied about the details of the raid.

"Claims that President Barack Obama lied about the role of Pakistan special forces in the raid that killed former al Qaeda head Osama bin Laden have been corroborated in an investigation carried out by American broadcaster NBC News."

I thought Jeb Bush had an excellent interview with Megyn Kelly last night. I think he misinterpreted the hypothetical question about the Iraq invasion. His answer was based at conditions and information at that time, not "what we know now". I think he will clarify that later. But I thought he came across, truthfully, and unapologetic, quite a contrast to The Chipmunk who comes across as if every word has been poll tested and reviewed by a committee of attorneys.

I know a lot of people don't want to vote for him becasue of his family name, but if he is the best candidate available, I can't use that as a reason not to vote for him.

I'm still undecided but so far I'm impressed with his record, and his demeanor. He's a very smart, accomplished and well-spoken guy IMO.

The story that is published on the NBC News website, makes no such accusations. What they do say is:

The new revelations do not necessarily cast doubt on the overall narrative that the White House began circulating within hours of the May 2011 operation. The official story about how bin Laden was found was constructed in a way that protected the identity and existence of the asset, who also knew who inside the Pakistani government was aware of the Pakistani intelligence agency's operation to hide bin Laden, according to a special operations officer with prior knowledge of the bin Laden mission. The official story focused on a long hunt for bin Laden's presumed courier, Ahmed al-Kuwaiti.

So the only way you can conclude that Obama "lied" is to interpret the fact that they choose to protect the identity of the Pakistani government informant a "lie". That's a stretch to say the least.

The Daily Mail is a tabloid that survives on sensationalism

there's a huge difference between saying the ISI (or other elements of the Pakistani government) knew that bin Laden was on Abottabad vs saying that they were active participants in the raid. A unilateral raid on the part of the US could be evidence of either Pak knowledge or ignorance, depending on the level of trust between the US and Pakistan.

People have long suspected that parts of the Pakistani government cooperate(d) with al Qaeda and other groups, so it would be no surprise if they were hiding bin Laden. That part of Hersch's story is nothing new.

:rollinglaughingface: Didn't you also pump up Romney before he was the candidate? Almost as if you actually want the weakest candidate to get the nomination so that the candidate you actually support will have an easier time.

He is also objectively terrible. Supports the NSA, foreign intervention, common core, etc. He is of the exact same mold as his brother (and very similar to Obama and Clinton for that matter). I mean, I guess if you want to continue almost every policy that has been put in place over the past 20 years with nothing being changed at all then VOTE FOR JEB!!!!

Damn right.

If it's a Jeb/Hillary thing. Game over. This country is too far gone to fix.

I dread the 2016 election when I have to listen to simpleton American derp derp up political conversations about Jeb vs Hillary. I can already taste the stupidity.

"Well, Hillary will do that"

"nuh huh, because Jeb will do that"

Just STFU, you both are morons./
