Yeah he DEFINITELY needs rehab...He was on vacation and partying, walked into the wrong place while hammered. Not like he did it at work or something.

I'll go with the latter. Many years ago I'm in a motel room with a woman in Florida, engaged in fornication. I'd forgotten to lock the door, unfortunately, and some older guy (I'm early 20s then so he might have been 40) just walks in and sits in a chair near the bed. Total stranger. This is early in the morning, daylight outside. He's got some dazed look on his face and he isn't even focused on us. I yell at him, "What the f--- are you doing here!" And he just gets up and walks out without a word. I'm naked, and too shocked to even worry about running after him. I just shut and lock the door and carry on.

Well, when I consume alcohol I assume it's ethanol and not methanol.
Doing stuff like that is cute when you are in college or even in your 20's. In your 30's you can get away with it. 42... that's just sad.

Dude, I've drank myself stupid numerous times. I've taken about every drug under the sun and done some wild things. I've never once wandered nude into someone else's home. And I did all my crazy shit in my 20s.
If you do it in your 40s - income and marital status be damned - you've likely got a problem that should be addressed. Dude's lucky he didn't get shot to death. You're essentially excusing his actions because he's rich and single. That's how some rich people get the massive entitlement complex they have, "I can do whatever I want because I have money."
My friend Bob is a midget. One time he and I went to Vegas, got drunk and brought two hookers back to our room. Lights are off, and all I hear from his side of the room is "One, two, three, hnnh! Why the hell do you keep bringing up me and what I'd do if I was rich? It literally has nothing to do with anything, except that you seem to hold a view that alcohol related arrests are perfectly okay if you have money. What the hell kind of argument is that?
I think if you're arrested for an alcohol related crime, you should seriously consider your relationship and abuse of alcohol, and rehab would be part of that. You're acting like rehab is a death camp or something. Hell the nice rehab centers are better than a hotel. The idea is to help change the way you consume and possibly abuse alcohol. Why are you so opposed to that?

It is funny if you are in college. I had a buddy do this during the summer and he thought he went into his parent's house, but he was actually 3 blocks away. When he woke up, the old couple that lived there even made him breakfast. It's also a good way to get shot, however.
-i raised a lot of hell in my college/post college days...an 18-25yo doing this may get a pass. This dude is 42 and has a lot to lose. He may need to do a little self-reflection in regards to his consumption habits.
