I just got a feeling that the Zags have this chip on their shoulder and UNC is the perfect opponent to feed into that. They've definitely proven they belong. UNC had to play one hard game the entire tournament.

This is going to be like last year in reverse. UNC didn't have to play anybody until the final and it showed. Same with Gonzaga this year.
Love to see it but if the Zags win in 3 OTs with a controversial ending it's also okay.
I hope you're right... but after some of the calls they've got to get there, I can't help but feel about 4-5 obvious blown calls will occur.

Zags were hot from 3 against SC. Will that continue? Will they put Jackson on goss like they did to monk and Dorsey?

To me johnathan Williams is the key guy. If he has a good game I give the Zags a shot; else, not so much

I don't care anymore. I didn't watch a single minute of the semi-final games and I won't waste my time with the championship game. I guess I'll find out Tuesday morning who ended up winning?
Oregon and UK both played bad games against UNC and still had a shot to win in the last minute.

Arkansas was not allowed to beat nc Kentucky was not allowed to beat nc Oregon was not allowed to beat nc.. If Zags get a fair break from refs they will win. I just hope the refs don't step in and pull it out for sorry ass nc like they did these other 3 games.

strong case for florida, but IMO west virginia was the strongest 4/5 in the entire field
gonzaga can match unc's size, and they've been the #1 team overall and #1 team defensively according to kenpom pretty much all year. also fairly unlikely they get rooked by the officials the way UK did, since they're america's sweetheart

Just remember, Villanova had a 10 point lead on essentially the same UNC team last year with 5 minutes left and controlled the entire game. The only reason it was close at the end was Nova throwing the ball away a couple of times late, which it normally didn't do, and Marucs Paige hitting a circus three to tie it. Gonzaga has the same kind of experienced guards and bigs that can handle Meeks. I really like Gonzaga in this game.
Zags have played 11 games against ncaa tournament teams. They are 11-0. They have a 3-0 record against the sec. They have beaten the big-12 tourney champs. They have beaten the pac-12 regular season champs. They have a 2-0 record against the pack -12. They are 1-0 against the big-10. They are 1-0 against the big east. Whether you like it or not the Zags can play and are in the nation championship game.

The refs have the ability to put three Gonzaga starters on the bench early in the first half with foul trouble. It can be done and if they appear to be a threat my bet is it will be done.
