Zagoria: Oscar's workouts

Players today aren't like the players we had when we were really good. Most of them come here for one reason which is the success the program has for getting players to the NBA. I don't think most of these players even worry about winning championships. Once they feel they have gotten all that they need from UK, they move on without looking back. Well, my new attitude towards players is to get all we can get from them and when they move on for whatever reason, next man up.
Pretty sure Oscar gave it his all while he was here and was a great representative of the program. He loved it here and stated so multiple times. If you can’t appreciate a player like him you will probably never appreciate another player ever again. I don’t care about the NBA at all but certainly pulling for Oscar to get drafted and make a team. Not sure we have had a more deserving player of recent time.

Because I do not follow the NBA, I do not care where he lands, although I hope he is drafted, does well and is happy there.

That’s a fact

I don't disagree with anything you posted. I have just started viewing the players as they view Kentucky, a means to an end.

Good Luck to Oscar as I appreciate his hustle and heart. But being that I hate the Celtics and generally think that Oscar was a major problem off the court for last year's team and is a bit of a con artist. To me this is a perfect match.
Wow.That was uncalled for.

I am too busy putting you on ignore! Have a nice day. Lol
Lol. Argue with everyone in the thread and then have the nerve to put somone on ignore. You can't make this childish shit up. Basicly when you put someone on ignore, you admit defeat. NEVER will I let someone get to me so bad I delete them from existence. Take the L and move on, no need hiding from your superiors.

Earth to Catsfan! You must be a kid! It takes at least two to argue. I know in your special case you and your multiple personalities can argue with each other. As for arguing, if you or anyone else can't handle being disagreed with, you shouldn't have responded to my post.

As for defeat, you are a sad pup if you see the text on a message board as any more than what it is, someone's worthless opinion. You foolishly post about defeat as if I really care what someone on a message board thinks. You are one of those sad cases who allow others to establish your value. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, LIKE ME!! Lol. You are an extremely weak individual if you define wins and loses based on how someone response to your post. I put the poster on ignore because the response that I would like to give would get me kicked off the site. So, only a fool would allow someone to bait them into that type of response. When you no longer have entertainment value, I will ignore you too.

Dang man as good of a player as he was and as hard as he played while wearing a Kentucky jersey I wish him the best and I don’t understand why any UK fan wouldn’t feel the same.
I don't follow much NBA at all any more so have little interest in it but I do wish Oscar success. Seems like an upstanding guy with good character and he gave us something to be excited about during these low times in the program.

From the LHL article today on UK players in the draft.

OSCAR TSHIEBWE Age, height, weight, position: 23, 6-foot-9, 260 pounds, center. 2022-23 statistics: 16.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.0 blocks. ESPN rankings: 60th overall, seventh-best center.

ESPN player comparisons: Kenyon Martin, Justin Hamilton, Paul Davis.
The Ringer ranking (as of June 14): 62nd overall. The Ringer mock draft (as of June 20): Undrafted.

The Ringer player comparisons: Reggie Evans, short Andre Drummond.

The Ringer analysis: “One of the best rebounders in college basketball history. He’s like Gollum in pursuit of his ring. Even if it means ripping the ball away from his teammates, he never stops hustling for his precious. … During the predraft process, he has worked on shooting corner threes, which would be a game-changing skill for him to develop. … Sloppy passer. Struggles with making basic reads and delivering the ball with accuracy. … He has subpar positioning in pick-and-roll defense, and he doesn’t really deter players from driving on him.”

CBS Sports ranking: 63rd overall.
