Zagoria: Bam Bam Hopes to Visit UK; Not Committed to Package w/ Smith

I'm not saying he's not going to NC State but to state so and be so arrogantly blunt about it is crazy. If it's so set in stone then why doesn't he just go ahead and commit? I'm sure State could use the help recruiting.

You say that regarding him and Smith as if it's already done. Just curious what your reasons are. I know it's supposedly behind the scenes stuff but if it's such a sure thing, then why wait and bullcrap everybody, dragging out the inevitable? Not saying you're wrong, just wondering.
 
Why drag it out?

1. You get more attention being uncommitted. It can raise your profile.

2. Why not take a couple free visits if you are 17/18 years old? You get treated like royalty for a few days with some hot coeds.

3. It would be a little suspicious if NC State all of a sudden gets two top ten players.

4. It brings more attention to your program. Coaches will sometimes ask players to hold off committing because it gets other players noticed and the programs are in the spotlighted longer.

I respect Jr1's opinion. But it wasn't too long ago that I was an 18year old High School kid. So I know that he could have his mind made up one day, then change it the next. I think we have a shot at him. IMO we're still in the hunt for every one of the top guys. Jackson, Giles, etc. Its way too early to know anything for certain right now. We still got a ling ways to go. Hell this time last year I would've thought we would've got Henry Ellison and Malik Newman. And we weren't even in on Briscoe were we?

Especially with the way
Recruiting just went in the last 4 months. There is never a guarantee with these kids, I don't care what is going on behind the scenes.
 
Sometimes it's not the player's decision...this is one of those times. Both will be at NC State...I've offered to bet money on it, no takers?

How am I being arrogant? I know something about their recruitment and I'm sharing it. Someone asked how sure I am, I offered to put up money as a sign of how sure I am (I'm a teacher, I don't make much).

I was asked to explain why he would hold out, I did that.

If I guaranteed they'd be at Kentucky would you be calling me arrogant?

I believe you. You do come off as arrogant sometimes because you provide many fly by posts without elaborating. Right now, UK is after a lot of bigs in 2017. I think we end up with Ayton.

Well there's alot of rumors here in North Carolina concerning all of our high profile recruits. The latest rumor I've heard is that Raliegh Word of God has hired Brian Clifton as its head coach. And it's been rumored that Bam will transfer there. Now this is John Walls alma mater and Brian is Johns former "guy"!! If all of this is true then Cal is definitely in the running for Bam!!

Also, you know Clifton is an Adidas guy...right? That's why Wall signed with Reebok (owned by Adidas).

It was the main hang up keeping Wall from here. An agreement was reached and UK got Wall.

Fox is our PG target.

I think UK will probably get SKJ.

I didn't put anything up, because I don't have a clue where the kid will go. You did notice that you quoted my first post, on the subject? I have just been sitting back watching you guys flex your muscles. I am just saying, if there is a wager made between the two of you, make it known, so that we all can enjoy, regardless of who wins. :boxing:
 
It will absolutely be made known, asked him to email me for the details. Also, I won't do a thousand...like I said, I'm a teacher and can't afford to put $1K in queue. Has nothing to do with my confidence though.

Ukrjr has legit info on players from the state of NC. Go ahead and toss my money in on whoever is betting him.

This is coming from the guy that broke the Murray news even when the people that run this site said he wasn't here visiting.

Oh I'm chirping alright. As if I'm the one on an Internet fan board trying to get people to bet me money over PayPal on whether or not a recruit goes to this school or that school. Never once did I question whether the dude had sources or not.

And as far as my pictures goes, why do you even care? What does it even have to do with anything? For instance.. I could give 2 shits less about the guy in your photo with his chrome grill and stalker mask. But anyway.

Back to the discussion. Who is gonna throw down on PayPal? C'mon people.
 
@ukrjr1 has proven to know what's going on in terms of recruiting in North Carolina. I think it's best to believe what he's saying.
 
I've emailed him twice for the action and of course no response. No big deal because I could give a shit but would of liked to have won a thousand, carry on..
 
Well looks like Mr. Graves (another wheeling and dealing guy in NC) won the Bam sweepstakes and he's transferring to High Point Christian Academy. They are loaded with all the other additions made. Looks like with Harry leaving for Oak Hill, HPCA will be the new force to reckon with!! Idk how this move will effect Bams recruiting but we will see.
 
He may indeed be completely sold on NC State, but as we know nothing is for sure when you are this age. It could be that he is only taking the official visits because of the attention and "the free trips", but sometimes when kids are on a different campus seeing a new environment their "100 percent certainty" changes.
Not to say it will happen, but to say any recruit is for certain going somewhere before he signs a LOI or takes more official visits is laughable. These are kids, remember. Did you know anything for sure when you were 17/18? I didn't. (Besides that eventually Cindy Crawford was going to end up with me...)

Giles played at High Point Wesleyan, not High Point Christian.

Also, I have not received any email.
