Zach Yenser

I like that the O-Lines he has worked with have been known for their physicality and toughness. The 49ers have been very efficient at moving the ball on the ground in recent years. That sounds very familiar to what our identity has been in recent years too, so this makes me very happy. I very much want to continue being a tough, physical football team that deploys road graders for linemen. This guy seems to fit that bill. The fact he is also familiar with Coen's offense is an added plus.

Though he is a bit of an unknown as a recruiter, I like everything else about him. I think he would be a good choice if this is who they decide to go with. And he will have some terrific guys to work with right off the bat, so that should help him get his feet firmly on the ground from day one.

Looks promising. Wonder what kind of recruiter he'll be and what recruiting territory he'll get? Really need to get somebody in the mid-TN area replacing Wolford. At least 2 OL from mid-TN, Joe Crocker and Luke Brown, are high on UK's list of '23 recruits.

Maybe Collins as a primary there? He came in with a rep as a recruiter and Nashville is an easy drive from campus.

Think GA/N FL is Collins areas. Collins was Ga St's recruiting coordinator so he should be familiar with GA HS football. Think Stewart, who I think in time will be an excellent recruiter, is also hitting GA.

I think Wolford/VM were in mid-TN. It's a very, very important area for the future of UK football.

Totally agree on mid-TN. I'm thinking Collins will start showing promise this year as a recruiter, with most of our coaches it's been the second year that they started contributing. Are we targeting too many in Georgia and North Florida that Collins wouldn't have time? Mike Stoops would be another candidate for Ten., he might even be a better choice, he's likely to make this his last stop.

I think Mike Stoops will actually recruit very little off-campus, probably South Fla. Same for Settle with him focusing on RBs only. Maybe they'll move Woodward into Mid-TN(leaving Coen/White for Up East), was said he contributed to UK signing Barion Brown. It'll be fun seeing how it shakes out. In time I think Collins will be every bit as good or better recruiter as Clinkscales. But I'm telling you, Anwar Stewart will eventually be a recruiting star! Just purely guessing but I see VM/Yenser and maybe Woodward in Mid-TN.

This could be a guy we hold onto for quite some time if he works out. A KY boy, worked with JS, knows the basic scheme that Coen runs, etc. - like it. Not sure how many OCs started as OL coach but, with a few years, maybe he could grow into it if/when Liam moves on. 49ers OL has been pretty darn good so I think the coaching chops should be there. If he can relate and recruit, this could be a huge step up from 2-face Wolford.

Positives we know about him is his experience at the highest level and the results he helped produce. He is known as a high energy guy that is liked by his players. He likes physicality in his guys and it looks like rotating guys more than Wolford did. That is what keeps it going year after year at a high level.

Unknowns are his recruiting ability in the SEC. And being on his own doing this in the SEC how well will he develop guys to be effective in the toughest conference?

Where do you see he would be an Oline rotation guy?

The development of the Nashville area during Stoops’ tenure really has become a golden opportunity for us. Ohio to the north and Mid TN to the south really expands our consistent bases to draw from year in year out nearby. Although southern schools are going to be coming in to TN to compete more to scratch that earth.
