The guy got poked in the eye, he threw his head back and fell down.... He called time out...... 8:10 mark in the second half if anyone cares to watch it....

I forget, there was no foul called on the play, right? I think a travel called on Andrew? And yes, he clearly had an eye poked. You don't fake those, they're instinctive. A jaw injury is the injury of choice among true floppers.

So no, not a flop.

go to 1:45:40 on this replay and you can watch two angles. i don't think he was touched, but it's possible i guess

No, no travel called. But he was either fouled or it was a travel. Instead the ref allowed Andrew to call a to.

Just move on.
That's the best angle of it. It's a flop. Agree, move on, who cares.

That's right; Bilas was calling for a travel.

It was a flop. It's not a big deal at all. I've never been a part of the group that thinks a flop should be a technical or anything serious like that. Our players do, our opponents do it. It's a part of the game.

I was really disappointed when I saw him do that. It is clearly a flop, and in my opinion, the rules need to be changed to make it a technical foul on the flopper...

Just focus on the Georgia players left hand..it is in the vicinity of Andrews face right before he falls down .

Most likely was a quick unintentional poke somewhere on the face. Must have been close enough to the eye to elicit Andrew to rear back and drop to the ground.

the gif speeds it up so it's hard to tell, but in the replay i posted that angle is in relatively slo mo

If they decide to call it a tech, it'd be fine with me since that'll affect other teams a lot more than us. UK players don't resort to flopping that much, compared to their opponents.

He got poked in the eye because I saw it happen...For those that want to believe different are haters or blind or both....But hey, some gotta find something to rag about. 30-0 Go Cats...

The player's left hand clearly makes contact with Andrew's face--almost a slap. You can tell by the angle his head goes back at. Andrew did flop afterwards trying to sell the foul, though. So everyone's right.

Left hand poke in the eye/face that is obvious to anyone HONESTLY watching.

Not a flop----a FOUL!!!

Lmao wut. The vine clip clearly shows the defenders hand near Andrew's face, then Andrew tries to fool the ref thinking he poked him.

The defenders hand never made contact with Andrew.

You saw it huh? Everybody is blind? Even this slow mo version? It looks like he missed his face totally.

He got poked in the eye/hit right near it and did what he had to do to draw attention to it. Heady play with a bit of a flop.

He was wincing from the poke in the eye. Try this, you people who think he flopped: have someone poke you in the eye and see if you can stand there and not have your head/body recoil backward. He even got up with his right eye squeezed shut, rubbing it.

An eye poke. Not a flop.

His hand never touched his face...are you blind?

I agree . The defender also with his right arm held Andrew.

Bilas said it should have been a foul, but if you don't call a foul, you have to call a travel.....

Obvious slap to the face---should have been a foul called. Also--Andrew's LEFT foot never entirely leaves the floor, even as he goes to the floor.

zebra decided he missed the foul call--so does give Andrew the timeout call.

Another MISSED call by the zebras.

If Andrew's eye is under his chin, then he got poked in the eye.

He flopped and got lucky that the Ref didn't call a walk. Andrew has gotten a reputation of over exaggerating contact with Referees. He rarely gets a call when he does this, so why does he continue to try it?

I paused it and did a frame by frame on my dvr and it is still hard to tell, but the defender's finger got really close to his eye. It was within an inch or less if it didn't hit his eye. I know one of or both of the Harrison's will jerk their head's back if contact is close. They won't sit in there and take the hit. I remember one game one of them had an elbow come swinging at their face. They jerked their head back and I think they fell, but I don't think they were flopping. They just don't want to take a shot to the face.

He wasn't touched.

He may have reacted to thinking his eye was about to be hit. But, I think he flopped. It doesn't make him a bad kid. It happens.

At least he didn't get up holding his jaw for the next hour.

I personally don't think he got hit in the face. Whether or not he did, it wasn't enough to knock him to the floor in that manner.

I cringe when I see our guys flop, but I honestly don't think it's nearly as often as some teams (cough, Loserville, Duke, cough). On the one hand you can't really blame them though when they see flopping being rewarded over and over again.

Maybe he thought we were playing Iowa.
