Yea. After Jackson State fam ESPN + scam is over

Read the whole set of arguments, bud. I’m saying complain to the school because of the teams we schedule . ESPN isn’t going to devote much to UK vs Lipscomb no matter how much complaining fans do. I have no issue with the schedule or the internet games. Youre providing retort to someone who has been on your exact soapbox

I misread. My mistake.

I’m pretty sure Jackson State is leftover from something Cal did with HBCUs where we play one SWAC HBCU every year for five years. This is year 4. If we break that deal in today’s climate, it will be a PR nightmare. I would imagine we’ll play another 300+ ranked SWAC team next November as well.

Perspective is in order too. When I was a kid, staying up to watch the replay was standard when it came to the early season games. So griping about 2nd rate streaming apps seems like a good problem to have.

Just read an article that the only thing UK basketball fans are upset about is that four out of five of the first games are streaming only . Much confusion and consternation.
After Friday we will be free at last from the money grubbing bast oops gentlemen.
If you're a Spectrum customer you got the games too through the ESPN app.

Once the game starts, after a few min you can go back to restart it and there is an option to "Watch from the beginning" for posters saying they can't watch it live from the start. And you can skip around what has been played so far to skip commercials to catch up. It's always been that way on the ESPN App for me.

Went to my heart doc today wearing my UK sweatshirt . Some other old dude said Go Cats . Said he had seen them play Duke but could not figure out the streaming so had not seen the other games.

Again my complaint is that as someone who pays for the SEC channel tru Direct Tv ESPN made it difficult to figure out how to get it for free since it was already paid for. Many I am sure just tru up their hand subscribed to ESPN plus and will forget to cancel it after a month .

If you pay for the SEC channel and ESPN you’ve had access to it all along.
Yes . And indeed that is the point . They made it difficult so many people who have already paid for ESPN and SEC simply throw up their hands and buy the ESPN plus subscription.

Other schools plays cupcakes teams and still are on regular TV its almost like ESPN and the SEC are doing this on purpose because its UK.

Sorry it is so difficult for you. I’ll be sure to let them know.

The SEC+ is free to stream if you have one of these providers for cable and have ESPN and SEC on your TV: ATT Uverse, Direct TV, Hulu, Verizon, spectrum, optimum, xfinity, cox, dish, sling, you tube TV. You don't need a phone or app, you can just google ESPN watch on your computer and find the game in the pull down for schedule and enter the pass word for your provider when prompted (that you have previously set up a user and password for for example for your Direct TV that you use log onto their Direct TV web site. YOU NEED THAT PASSWORD to get access to SEC+

Took me 2 seconds to click the UK game icon on the espn app last night and it gave me a "your event will start shortly" message.

I was outraged it took 2 seconds. Damn espn and their conspiracy.
I clicked on the ESPN app and my bank account was immediately drained. I also received a host of Trojan viruses and malware.

Not sure what was happening with my ESPN app last night. I could find the game tile easily. It just wouldn't allow me to select it for viewing. It was like my remote button was broken. Needless to say, I cussed and tried everything until halftime. Then I went youtube searching for a live stream. My biggest beef with SEC+ is the sound quality is horrible. My feed mutes every few minutes for 2-3 seconds during the game. I prefer the network tv games. Those are our hype games anyway.
The ESPN app that is on smart tv's is absolutely terrible. So many little bugs and playback issues. The audio cutting in and out is a new thing this year. It gets worse and worse

Having said that, the early games that used to be on JMI/Big Blue Sports Network had the worst audio/video quality I've seen in my lifetime. I think they used equipment from the 70's, and with Rob Bromley on the call, it sounded like it was from the 70's too.

I watch on the ESPN app on a smart TV. No issues.
