Wow.... Missouri

So how does SECT workout? With 14 teams, it fit nicely.

Assuming Mizz would drop back to the #14 (last), does that mean the #11 simply auto-advances to the 2nd round.

Not even free rent...

"A former associate head men's basketball coach assisted in the relocation of a prospective student-athlete by providing the phone number of the prospect's mother to a donor (Representative #2) to arrange for rental housing. The family paid a market rate for the rental. However, the actions of the former associate head coach are in violation of NCAA bylaws."

Gave out a phone number.

If UNC was any other school they would be hiding under their beds after seeing this...
brian, we see stuff like this and there aren't even words to begin to describe the disparity between UNC and EVERY OTHER SCHOOL in the NCAA. there is nowhere for an average person to begin.

The first donor was permanently disassociated from the program.

*The second donor was disassociated for two years.

*All wins from the 2013-14 season have been vacated (Missouri won 23 games under Frank Haith that year).

*Mizzou will pay an NCAA fine of $5,000

*Mizzou forfeited two scholarships. One was forfeited this year while the other must be forfeited by 2017-18.

*A postseason ban for 2016, which includes the 2016 SEC Tournament in Nashville in March.

Man, that is some bad penalties. The ncaa must be really mad at louisville and north carolina.

Come on, step up and roll the dice to see who the NCAA will sanction next. It is a crap shoot unless you are UNC or NastyOTISville.

Sounds about right...i guess institutional fraud/scandal and hooker parties just aren't sexy enough...doesn't get the juices flowing...

I bet they are just so pleased with themselves...probably hosting a party right now...

...probably can't wait for Cal to slip up and fart in church...

Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations. Baffle em' with BULLSH*T!

When taking my comprehensive exam when completing my MS I had a professor say that to me as far as what I was presenting in front of him and the five other professors sounding like I was trying baffle with BS. I told him to widen the scope of what he was looking at while in front of the other 5 professors....I passed...

I stated the above to state this; I think the ncaa needs to widen the scope of what they are looking at. (If they're looking at anything at all...) they are definitely not looking at anything on a broad scope...if...at all...

Lewdville will self-impose fondling and handjobs at a local roach motel which is such a stark improvement over the lap dances, blowjobs and skank sex at Minardi Hall.

Will this improve their overall win%?

That was my first thought, but I think they did have a decent record that year. What the heck is going on in Columbia? First all the controversy surrounding the football team, and now this. How many programs have to go on probation before the NCAA either does something or not about UNC?

I'm so glad we got to pawn them off on the SEC. They're a walking disaster. I feel badly Mike Slive and others didn't properly vet these scumbags for you. now you're stuck with em

Yea lets act like the BIG12 isn't falling apart and you "pawned" schools off.

No, your league is falling apart and anyone that can get into the SEC is smart enough to make the move.

Nice try.

How much crooked stuff did Roy do at KU before you pawned him off on UNC?

It's already been established that there was clustering going on at kansas, while RW and Wayne Walden were there. Why no one is looking into this I have no idea. It's baffling.

Not to mention its Kansas, the single most corrupt program in history (even though UNC it's giving them a run right now)

At least Mizzou has those two SEC East titles, in football, because it's looking like they won't be winning much of anything in the SEC.

I was actually kind of excited when they joined the conference. I thought they would help boost the hoops and give a consistent top 25 opponent. Instead they've just been a dumpster fire.

The Big 12 is falling apart? Oh, ok.

I hate to get banned from here but didn't Cal do what Haith did "twice" leaving two schools in bad shape, moving on to a different school just in time before the NCAA came to investigate?

Missouri says it received a verbal NCAA notice of inquiry on April 14, 2014. Frank Haith took the Tulsa job four days later.

Jason Anderson has been killing Missouri, where he's from, for the last couple days. And today the NCAA today because Haith got off scot free, even though he came to Missouri after being busted for cheating at Miami. To hear Anderson tell it, Missouri has been a cesspool since the Quinn Snyder days, and that a lot was going on and still Haith skated because according to the NCAA he promoted as atmosphere of compliance. That's rich.

Someone posted Andy Sweeney's tweet in the UofL Whores thread, complaining about Haith getting off. You say Anderson is doing the same....

Has the NCAA actually said anything or made a ruling here? I thought this was Misouri's suggested self-imposed consequences, which they hope, and assume, the NCAA will accept.

The Big 12 is falling apart? Oh, ok.

Actually i believe it it, as do others. When all is said and done some actually do believe 4 power conferences will stand, not 5. The big12 would be odd man out.

Give it time. You're in for a rude awakening.

The big12 is as good as finished. You obviously don't understand the shifts at all. Notice none of your buddies ran to defend it. They know.

The big12 is as good as dead. Hopefully Kansas makes it into a power 4 conference but I wouldn't bet on it

We're shakin in our boots.

We're shakin in our boots.

We both know you are.

By the way, Memphis is speaking with big12 officials sometime this year.

Accepting Memphis into the big12 will be all the proof you need the big12 is done

I'll have to find another use for all my Big 12 clothing.

Edited above. Just so you know.

The clothes will be useless. Do you think Kansas will make a power 4 conference? I just don't think so.

KU's run of 142 big 12 titles in a row (or how ever many it is) may come to an end this year, they could go to the Sun Belt or Conference USA and start another one, hell, Self might even get a new hair piece.

If Kentucky is in one, Kansas obviously would be.

Wow you don't know much a of the shifts do you?

Kentucky is in the sec, and is a founding member. We aren't in question at all. If Kentucky is? Lol. Nice try.

Just wait. In a few years when Kansas is a kid major you will remember this. The second you take Memphis it's over for Kansas.

I completely agree. Everyone in College Athletics knows the magnitude of cheating that took place at UNC, yet nothing is being done. When is a University or President going to stand up and say no, we refuse to accept your punishment. SMU got hammer because of 1 coach helping a kid write on paper, one. You have two decades of cheating at UNC, and you have former athletes with fake degrees hanging on their walls. Disgusting really.
No. Something is being done. UNC's football team played in a bowl game and their basketball team is having big year... so I think the NCAA's message is loud and clear. Thunderous in its silence.
