Would you support an NBA team in Louisville?

Not really, used to be a big NBA fan as a kid but rarely watch now, just not that interesting to me. Plus, ticket prices and other costs aren't worth it to me. Have UK season tickets and that's good enough for me.

I'm not a NBA fan at all, so I honestly would never go. But if it helped bring added revenue, etc to the city and state, I'm for it.

You know what one of the biggest hurdles will be (in all seriousness)? If the team is named Louisville or Kentucky. I think that will cause some issue

No, but I'm also from DC, live there currently, and already have a favorite NBA team in the Washington Wizards. They'd probably be a team I root for outside of Wizards games though.

Absolutely, I'd love to see a nba team in the state of Kentucky l. They would have no affiliation with the tards so I'd root for them

Man an NBA team in the vile would be so sweet
IDK y people would b against it
It would B so good for this state
Plus we wouldn't have to travel so far to see
Lebron Steph Durant AD and the rest

Or any Big 4 pro sports team? Just wondering if what Cat fans would do. I am inclined to say yes.
100% yes. It would help integrate Louisville into the rest of the state and vice versa, without having the clowns at UL dictate this to us preemptively. Louisville is a good city made insufferable by Cards fans. It shouldn't be this way. Plus, it would really piss off Louisville fans.

Of course I would. Why anybody wouldn't want a successful pro team in our largest city is beyond me. It doesn't matter who your college rooting interest is, an NBA team in Louisville would be great.

I think it pretty obviously would never be called the Louisville ... It would be the Kentucky ... Anyone with half a brain would know marketing the team would not work with Louisville in the teams name, even though it is in the town.

Call them the Kentucky Colonels or Thorobreds, get the dirty bird signage off the yum, relocate UL women's bball and volleyball to Freedom Hall and I would be in.

Not really. They'd just be extorting the city for a new arena and an unfair share of the revenue in a few years and we've already got a team in town for that. I guess the upside to a Pro sports team is they'd actually leave. Why cant Tom Jurich move the Cards to Jeffersonville.

The YUM! Center lease with UL makes it highly unlikely a NBA team would come here (unless it were to play in Freedom Hall)

Do you all think basketball is the only major sport in which a pro team would be viable here?
we probably look at it that way because that is what's so huge in Kentucky in terms of college sports.
We do already have a minor league baseball team - and people seem to enjoy them, but.......
I wouldn't mind football, but not so sure we'd have the resources to support

I would not and it is very obvious that unless the contract is changed, there is no way any pro team can play in the yum center. None of them will play in Freedom Hall so where are they going to play? An NBA team in Louisville is just a dream.

It's been talked about for years and I have always wanted a pro team in Louisville.

I have zero hope of it happening because of the local mafia that is Ramsey and Jurich.

Maybe they could play in the huge new arena that was going to be built in Winchester like 10 years ago.
