Would basketball fans ever send a message with attendance?

When it was apparent Joker Phillips needed to go, less than 19,000 fans showed up for a November 2012 football game against Vanderbilt. It was jarring to see Commonwealth that empty, almost as if it were a concerted effort by the collective base. If the message wasn’t clear prior, it certainly was after that game with 2/3 of the stands bare.

At what point in the Calipari downfall would that occur, if at all? Would we ever see a 1/3 capacity Rupp?

It would send a massive message. Tickets pay the rent at Rupp.

Unfortunately getting it done would require a yeoman's effort and the willingness to take the brunt of the attacks that would come their way.

It would work though, and at this point it is the only way forward. If things keep going the way they are we just might see it happen at season's end.

It could be done. But the old people will still fill the lower bowl. Being at a UK game is like being at a Lakers, Yankees, Dodgers, or Cowboys game. It's a status thing. And people go to socialize, not watch the game. So you'd have to make the upper and middle bowls empty to send a message. Because those lower bowls? Never gonna happen.
