Worst loss of the Stoops era?

If they're talking about sc I don't get it. They're a bowl eligible team with our same record and we played without our leader who we replaced with a first time starter

The blowout loss to western was much worse
We had less talent than WKU. That entire season was a throwaway.

my list is

2018 UT
Yesterday
2015 Vandy
2017 Louisville
2014/5 (can’t remember which - the Thursday game) Auburn

As bad as yesterday was to me the TN fiasco was worse. Reason was UK was so ill-prepared, lacked focus and motivation after coming off a bye week. Very much reminded me of Miss St game in Starkville in '15. Almost identical to TN game. Does UK even practice during the week?

Southern Miss game came to mind, you get up 35-10 on ANYBODY on your home field, much less a non P5 team, it was beyond belief we lost that game.
Damn, that game was a freaking nightmare for anybody and everybody who played for, or cheered for for, our Kentucky Wildcats.

I don't know if recency bias is causing me to think the Vandy nightmare is worse, or it really IS that much worse, but yeah, that was unreal.

That was the game where Stoops showed his true colors about offense. We scored too fast.

When the game started the seats were empty and the players said fuk it we quit also. Vandy said well thanks guys see u in the funny pages.

I think the USM loss, after leading 35-10 is worse than Vandy last weekend but it's close. You simply cannot lose to 26 straight loss vandy.

That was his first game as head coach, and Joker left Stoops with ZERO, UK went 2-10 that year, was not even in the top 10 worst losses of his career.
Agreed...we had nothing to play for Stoops first year, no bowl was ever going to happen, it was on neutral field, etc..

This year we had a chance to go to a better bowl, we had a much more talented roster and at home...we just were awful last weekend.

Fair point, I think when discussing Stoop's tenure at UK you have to divide his first 5 years with the last 5. Sure there have been major potholes along the way, but overall it is hard to imagine that someone who would have stayed 10 years could have done better.

Where does the program go from here is the question? We have gone thru too many OC's to count and we are probably on the cusp of adding to that list. Wish we could find a young guy who could do the job and be willing to stay 3 years

We need college guys, not NFL. What about some of those guys that were at Baylor, TCU and TT. Hell I am old and can’t remember names. Cliff Kingsbury, Briles’s son and others. Bring ‘em in.

I almost stopped reading when he said the best coach on Kentucky’s history. I’m sorry but just no. Stoops had feasted in many bottom feeders and has admittedly started beating somew mid Level team that used to beat us,, but to say he was better than Bear, even when Bear was here is laughable.
