Wonder where cam will land at now?

Cal probably makes one last push for Cam, but he probably goes elsewhere.

He will only use twelve scholarships, IMHO.

The twelfth scholarship (if Johnson goes elsewhere) I think he will offer to Miles Wilson (transfer from Mount St. Mary) to bolster our depth for the 2018-19 season. If he goes elsewhere, then he holds the last two scholarships to see if anyone reclassifies or can come in mid-season (it's happened the last two seasons).

I will second the UCLA guess. I think he prefers UNC, but PITT is blocking it. His interest in Arizona was based on who returned and most everyone did.

UCLA looks like his best chance for PT and the spotlight.

One hell of a player I will follow throughout his career. I wish like hell he ended up in Lexington, but in Cal I trust 100%. As always.

Damn, I really think we could've used his experience and shooting for this team full of "babies (lol)". Oh well. Like I said, this is going to be a team to remember. 9 5*'s with Jemarl to knock down a 3 when we need it and Tai to hopefully continue improving enough to contribute.

I look for a Green, Diallo, Knox, Vanderbilt, Richards, SGA, Washington rotation with SKJ and Jemarl playing spot minutes. I could see SKJ filling the minutes Humphries did last year and Jemarl being a lesser used Mulder.

I couldn't be more excited for BBM.

Miles Wilson is choosing between Miami and Auburn.

I kind of feel bad for him. Everywhere he wants to go is set at his position or he's blocked from going there. Possibly UCLA?

Then you don't know basketball. We didn't have an Elite 2 guard and now we do. But you would rather have a transfer that is really a 3 and isn't half as talented.
I know basketball and was pretty damn good at it too.

I'm happy that our backcourt isn't thin anymore. I wanted one of the two for sure. I was just more interested in getting a reliable shooter for two years than I was a guy who will dunk and defend and be gone.

Yeah, being an average shooter while being an elite driver and defender sucks. That damn MKG, man, I really wish we could have replaced him with a Cam Johnson type.

Lord have mercy.

That's a solid opinion. Cam Johnson would be a great fit here as a role player. I just think he wants more than that ASAP and not down the road a bit.

You're comparing Diallo to MKG while calling Cam Johnson a role player?

Cam is 6'9", shot 43% from 3, 82% FT, 11.9ppg, on a team built to feed their top 2 SR bigs, while playing in the ACC for two years after RS his FR year.

On probably the youngest team in history, with spotty shooting, I don't think want Cam over Diallo is all that crazy. You're entitled to your opinion too, though! My fear is that Diallo will be playing with the NBA in mind instead of a player like Cam who wants to win whatever it takes. We will see!

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Col. Angus,

I think the same and wouldn't be shocked to see him lead them in scoring.

43% from 3 at 6'9" is pretty damn hard to guard. Ha ha. I just hope Bryce can help improve his lateral speed like I know Cal would have so he can be a great NBA 2 guard for years to come.

It's crazy to want Cam over Diallo with how this team is built, yes. Knox, Vanderbilt, Washington, don't need to be guarding the 2 spot. We need a lockdown backcourt defender. Johnson doesn't fit that bill at all. Not saying I don't want him. I'd kill to have him. And you're saying Cam doesn't have an NBA mentality? He just wants to win? Lol wut? Then why isn't he signed with us right now? Why was he waiting to see who was leaving from Zona, etc. Because he wants maximum playing time so he can...Wait for it...

MAKE THE NBA. lol.

And while we're doing guesses, I'm going to say Diallo is going to do everything possible to play hard for us and win #9 for us.

You do know we have J. Vanderbilt.. Right? Not sure where this notion that players have to guard their exact position came from. We have a few guys that can guard the 1-4 sufficiently enough for the college game.

Sure, he CAN, but you'd rather have him consistently do it than Diallo? Of course not. Look, none of us have even seen Diallo's shot in a game situation. Maybe he's Isaiah Briscoe, I don't know. But I'll take my chances.

None of us have seen Diallo play defense in a game situation neither. I agree with u in wanting Diallo over Cam, just opposed to the slick response u gave that guy as if HD is the only defender capable of guarding the 2.

I wouldn't count Oregon out. Would still like to get him, more size and another shooter.

I think Cal has a good shot at this kid. With his experience he would get a lot of minutes coming off the bench. Also, the kid might make the starting line up at some point if someone gets hurt or is not playing up to expectations.

HD committed 20 minutes before the deadline. Cam would've probably done so months ago had Diallo went to the NBA.

Cam specifically wanted to go to UK because "it was the best chance to win a title". Diallo came because nobody would give him a 1st round guarantee.

Isn't it fair to question their commitment levels and what they hope to accomplish?

I REALLY hope Diallo is more MKG than Archie Goodwin, but fear that he is here to make himself look good instead of leading us to another title. I read his tweet about getting #9. I hope he makes that happen!

Thank you. I always wonder why some think you have to guard the position on defense that you play on offense. Yes, many times it works out that way, but it doesn't have to.

I vote that Cam ends up at UCLA. Makes the most sense at this time to me. And I think we are done and Cal will leave the scholarship open or use it on a walk-on for the year.
