Now it looks really weird. Did Murray change his mind? Did the guy tweet off a rumor he heard there at Oregon's athletic offices? Just goofing with people? Strange if it really was the Oregon player that tweeted it.

I said it before - kids make comments like that all the time on twitter, and they're not particularly good indicators. Usually it's in the midst of a bunch of noise, so it's just read as "one of the tea leaves", but this time, it was one of 2-3 pieces of "information" the entire week, so people fixated on it.

what exactly is going on? I must be missing it.

Like it or not, these kids play a game of deception when it comes to keeping the cat in the bag. They want everybody on the edge of their seat when they finally pull the trigger. A couple of weeks ago, Murray to UK started to really pick up steam. I am sure the Murray camp put out a little disinformation that indicated he was leaning toward Oregon. That is a common practice. I would guess that the Oregon player got wind of this disinformation and really thought he was going to be a Duck. This played out perfectly for Murray. He is now hated by all 7 Oregon fans and is a freaking hero to the millions within BBN.

Maybe he found out he wasn't coming and was making an attempt to limit the viewing audience of his commitment. Just a thought, other than that I would say just a kid being a kid, or it isn't his real twitter account.

yeah....murray changed his mind last minute. and in that last minute...he had fedex ship him a uk tie and shirt.

think...uk was in great shape for some time. and there is a big reason why.

I'd say that Murray had a really good visit to Oregon and gave indications he would likely be there in the fall (as a lot of players do on a lot of visits).

Id say this. These are kids. Some recruiter gives them a hard sell on a visit and gets some quasi-commitment from the kid. Then the kid gets off campus and pulls themselves back together.

Id guess this happens quite often
