This is going to be a hard game to win IMO . It depends on how UK plays. I wish they would go back and pass the ball like the first 7 games we played. If we play like we did against Miami we can win but if Cal goes back to pounding the ball inside it might be another loss for UK.
I know what you mean, but obviously teams learned how to push us off the 3-pt line too.
At one point, Penn was face-guarding Sheppard, so you have to find another way to punish a team for over-playing the line like that.
One thing I love about this team is the elite passing and scoring they do against a zone. They crush a zone.
Face guarding should open up the back door to our elite passing; esp. w/ the way the floor is spread in our small ball offense. I expect to beat unc
I'd like 25 from Dillingham and 22 from Shep.
Throw in another double double for Bradshaw, and three other players in double figures (DJ, Reeves and hopefully Edwards), while hitting at least 40% from the perimeter, and I think we have a chance to run away with this one.
Unfortunately, the Bradshaw situation is going to be rough - he may well foul out because he is not quite ready to face a real big man. He had 3 fouls yesterday against a 6'9" forward. And he plays too much with his hands down into the back of the posting up player. He'll get called for that all day long against UNC.
