With the playoffs proposed for 2025(ish), what happens to the Bowls?

I love the bowl games.

But if the top 12 play a playoff with higher ranked teams hosting the opening rounds (at their home stadium), are the bowls going to die?

Will the Cotton/Rose/Fiesta/Sugar and Orange drop back to teams ranked 13th-25th?

Probably same as they are now. They rotate in the quarters, semis, and national championship

I had assumed that would work out, but I understand that they are leaning to a "home-based" playoffs, for several of the games, and I do not know how many. But even if they hone it down to 6 teams, (after playing in the home stadiums of the higher ranked teams) there are not enough remaining games to fill the NYD6!!
