So, are you cool with the Outback Bowl?

I just got a feeling that MSU beats Ole Miss on Thanksgiving Night and a 9-3 UK ends up in the Liberty Bowl.
I’m not so much worried about that but what does worry me is that if UGA beats Bama, a two loss Bama team is not making the playoffs thus knocking all SEC teams down a peg.

As long as Bama brings their A- / B+ game, Birmingham can help out us and the rest of the SEC. They’ll probably hand-pick James H. Carter to be a dirty official like he is.

True. Though Ga. better team the SEC wants 2 Teams in Playoffs so Bama beat Bulldogs in Championship game then Bulldogs return the Favor in BCS Championship game.

so, what does the SEC do to accomplish that? Seriously, do you think they just get on the phone and call the refs and tell them we want Bama to win this game ? Would it be that easy or is it more complicated than that?

Was just running through some of the approx payouts of bowl games:

CFP - for each team, conference gets $6M
NY6 - each team gets $4M
Travel expenses also: 2.43M for the conference

Interesting that other bowls seem to get better payouts then NY6:

Citrus - $8.55M
Outback - $6.4M

FYI, who would have thought Belk Bowl paid out better than Gator Bowl?

If I recall, don't we simply just add up all the bowl games that conference played in a divide that number by the number of teams? So the difference between Citrus and Outback is not as significant.

Been to the Peach and Birmingham bowls, so not much flare for either at the time. The Outback seems to make sense provided another SEC team gets the Citrus.
