You may be right and I hope this is his last but I anticipate another rough season ahead and if he leaves the cupboard bare, then it'll be a couple more bad seasons. By then, we'll basically be Indiana. This sucks.

Yea I know the portal will help, especially IF we hire the right coach, but it will be a completely new roster. I just have a hard time seeing 11-12 new players meshing well with a first year coach at a pressure cooker like UK. Hope I'm wrong.

Cal will have 11 new playes to mess together , assuming neither of the 3 return and assuming he recruits 13 players. Whether a coach does at Ky as first year or at another school should not make a difference. So I don't see that. JMO.

Some might say Calipari is demonstrating typical signs of burnout. Lack of enthusiasm for the job, noticeable decrease in production, unwillingness to adapt to change, clashing with co-workers/boss, making excuses for his performance, etc. I’m still convinced Calipari's recent “I have six years left on my contact” comment on the Dan Patrick Show was a not so subtle request/demand to be bought out.

With each passing day, this is becoming more plausible imo. A cross section of the "players first" mentality, commited playing time, and purposely leaving no talent for the next era. As has been discussed ad naseam, this guy is a disgruntled, misguided, and complacent caricature of his pre-2015 self.
