I say yes. I think he could play all 4 years at UK. There's big money in the NBA but Ulis would be taking a big gamble to leave. He is a pure college player who can leave a huge mark on the college game. What do you say

Almost every player that leaves early to the pros could leave a huge mark on college bball.
How is that a good reason to stay?
I really don't think he will be, but good God, just imagine if he stays all 4 years?
I don't see it with his ability to knock down those little shots around the free throw line as well as read the floor. He'll be a nightmare coming off the bench for several minutes at a time in the NBA.
I just don't see him staying another year. His stock will never be higher than it is right now and he probably will not grow anymore in height. As the old say is "strike while the iron is hot". I see him leaving this year.
He's gonna have some success in the NBA and be the Head coach at UK in 20 years.

I think in Tyler's situation, he can improve his stock by returning. Ulis would be an amazing junior. I'm not sure why so many think he'd never rise again or fall.
What? I can name more UK players in the last 7 years that left a year early when they had the chance to win a title than I can think of.

What if a major injury happen to him if he comes back and will not be able to live out his dream of playing in the NBA ?
There are players who will return to chase championships vs. taking the money a year early. I was making the argument against those who believe this never happens.
Can't think of anyone right now but it could happen and that is the point I was trying to make. Hope it never happens.

The only way it works is if Cal platoons next year. No way Fox and Monk come here not to start. I just don't see him returning but I would love it. What other team would have a better point guard tandem than Fox and Ulis? No one.

I think Ulis will be on a championship team next year, either with our incoming freshman or manning the point for an NBA second unit
I think if you are Ulis and you can get drafted in the first or early second round you go for the money. His draft stock will never be higher if he continues to play at the current level. I know I will miss seeing him play but grab the cash if you can and finish school later.
The team's success will obviously play a part in that decision.

Alot of hilarity in this thread. It has basically been said he is gone after this year anyway from Cal himself. Dude is a top 35 pick . Gone . Wish people would waste time on things that make sense. But we have a few odd ones in this fan base. Briscoe IMO is the one question mark among the guys who could come back . The rest of the guys not named Hawkins and Willis are gone .
