Will Perry come back next year?

Why do people want to run off our players? I don’t get it. You need continuity to win at the highest levels. It’s ok if Perry doesn’t become a first team AA y’all, he can still help us. Chill people lol
Cal really made people forget that there is a place for a 4 year bench role player on top 10 teams….and it’s ok for that type of player to need 3 development years and look entirely different at 21 compared to 18.

Especially for a coach that wants to play 9 deep

No one wants to run him off. At least I don't. I just wondered if some external pressure might come into play about playing time and some of the players he would be playing against for time.

Id love to have him back.. but theres just no telling yet. Same with Kerr, same with Garrison, same with all of them.

If Perry finds himself as the 12th man, then I could see him dipping out and heading to a lesser conference team or maybe a mid major within the state.

TP who is wayyyy behind on D, gets to play a decent role as a FR, far more minutes than he or anyone else expected him to get (do you think he sniffs more than the last 30 seconds on a Cal team? ) and our fans are worried about he might transfer. Smh just be happy.
Does TP have alot of work to do on D? Yes as do most normal freshman.
We won today by 30. And our seniors all gave good performances on senior day. Lighten up ..

There will be a lot of potential competition at his positions next year.
No chit Sherlock ... there better be competition for EVERY position. We are a .500 team in the SEC. Hopefully Pope pulls from his Pitino days and instills a whatever it takes attitude in next years team.
Everyone I have spoke to can live with a loss .... what they can't stand is being out hustled/out worked.

he would have to step down in competition for him to have a shot at starting consistently. he's a solid role player

He is not going anywhere.

He played a ton this year, and he will get minutes next year as well. If I'm Perry, I'm thinking I have a shot to beat out Chandler, Noah, and maybe even Lewis in the rotation.
Gotta love having a guy like Perry on the team, but he's not beating out Lewis or Johnson in the rotation next year...

I think it's safe to say one thing about Perry....he's an overachiever. By no means is he an elite athlete, but still managed to score more points than anyone in KY HS history. Overachievers don't quit. Guarantee you he will be busting his tail in the gym/weight room working on his skills and body in the offseason.
