UK versus UC in a Wed. DH at the Cliff, Cats come in at 9-2, ranked 22nd, while UC comes in at 2-7. Cats send out soph. LHP Dylan Dwyer in game 1, he can be very good or very erractic, here's hoping he is on this afternoon.

Both Dwyer and UC pitcher set them down 1,2,3 in the first inning, scoreless after 1.

Cats get a run in the bottom of the 2nd, courtesy of walks and a wild pitch, lead UC 1-0 going to the 3rd.

Cats get 2 runs in the 3rd, and 2 more in the 4th to lead 5-0, Javon Shelby playing 2nd base today having a BIG game with a double and a 2 run homer. Pressed into duty after Matt Redia turned an ankle in warm ups, Cats move Conner Heady to short.

Dylan Dwyer with a career high 7 shut out innings, going to bottom of 7th, Cats still up 5-0.

Cats put up 2 more runs in the bottom of the 7th, hits by Cousino, and Kuhn. Dwyer out for the top of the 8th working on a 2 hitter !

CATS win ! Get a complete game jewel from Dylan Dwyer, he goes 9 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits walks only 2, and fans a career high 8 in the 7-0 win. Cats now go to 10-2 on the season, while UC falls to 2-8.
Freshman Javon Shelby with a double, and a 2run Big Fly, both teams played errorless baseball. Game 2 coming up around 4:15 pm.
