Why?

Im as pissed as anyone about some of the losses this season, but i have no idea what fans expected out of this game. We were down tons of starters vs a top 10 rival, on the road, at night.

This had all the makings of a blowout. The fact guys stayed dialed in was really impressive. If brock doesn't get hurt, i think we win that game. If wimsatt doesn't telegraph that pass, we might win anyway.

Incredible effort from a very short handed bunch.
Money. For each team the SEC gets into the playoffs they get x amount of dollars. The SEC will evaluate, and then position, teams according to what they feel gives them the best chance for success.

Here is what they get per team 2024
  • $4 million for each of the 12 teams that makes the College Football Playoff
  • $4 million for each of the 8 teams that makes the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals
  • $6 million for each of the 4 teams that makes the College Football Playoff Semifinals
  • $6 million for each of the 2 teams that makes the College Football Playoff National Championship Game
Additionally, each team who participates in the College Football Playoff receives $3 million to cover expenses for each round.

Here is what they give back

SEC: The SEC gives $2.05 million for each team participating in the semifinals and another $2.15 million for the championship game.

This doesn't include bowl game revenue. It might not explain everything, but if you look at the bogus calls and preferential treatment through a business lens it makes better sense.

Then we're telling everybody else in the conference to go to hell, only TN matters.

In a way, yes. There is nothing the rich hate more than change because it creates volatility in the markets. The SEC figures that if it can keep its darlings well fed then it can keep the dollars rolling in, and they are getting rich.

The conference has equal distribution outside of the playoff performance earnings, so we get a cut of the playoffs, but we and others, suffer from discrimination in football.

Basketball works a bit differently, so they don't worry so much about status quo.

In Division play, every year when Tennessee was playing Alabama, Kentucky was playing Mississippi State. During the reign of the goat coach, Saban.

Not really comparable…right?

Honestly….you give us a lot of conspiracy credit….the refs…the league…number of night games. That love didn’t help us much during 3 awful Athletic Directors and dullard coaches.

Were you crying about that when Mullen was at Miss St and had them number 1 in the country and Bama sucked? I didn't think so. So go back and cry about something else.

4 straight conference home games, only team in the league when you already play a soft schedule...quick tell me whose ass you're kissing so I can tell Stoops, this BS is killing us.

Against UK obvious UT player jumped offside and UK got flagged. UT player was way offside against Bama late no call and he sacked Bama QB. He was all the way across line. I think the fix is in to get UT into play offs.
It is clear on the video that the UT player knew he jumped offsides; he beat himself up over it while the UK OL clapped in celebration.

But why TN? Why not TAM or Ole Miss or LSU? Not like it used to be when they had Roy Kramer running interference for them.

UT has always cheated, it's what they are. Now with NIL, buying players is legal and no longer cheating, so being the corrupt university it is, they are paying someone off in the SEC office. The scheduler, the officials scheduler. I will always believe Pruitt was acting on Fulmer's orders when he was handing out money in McDonalds bags. If he were winning that would have never happened. I still can't believe they alow their coach to dress like a homeless bum and represent the university on national TV, I guess because it is representing of the fanbase.

I really don’t have a problem with the conference protecting the contenders a little more than the others.

Let’s say an undefeated Alabama is playing a two loss Georgia in the SEC title game and if Alabama wins they play for the title but Georgia has no chance to advance even if they win. I’m just about always gonna find myself pulling for the SEC team with the opportunity.

Because they need the most help to stay relevant. lol. It doesn't really explain it all does it?

How they had 18 level one violations in 2023 along with 200 individual infractions and they get a slap on the wrist, but we have a few people who supposedly make money from a job and we loose an entire season and bowl trophy.

I do know that the chancellor of the University of Tennessee who oversees the athletics department is a member of the NCAA Presidential Forum and vice president of the SEC Executive Committee.

The depth of this construct in your wee noggin 😂😂….uga is still the most insecure fan base in the sec

Btw ….Pruitt learned at Alabama while standing next to kirby

Chumlee fits in with the Walmart crowd plus the old boy has more chins that a Chinese phonebook.

Does TN get 4 straight conference home games, UF, Bama, UK, Miss St? No other team in the league has such. Why does the SEC continue catering to these people?
Not sure why you think that is an advantage. UT had to play 2 straight SEC road games before that 4 game home stint and will have to play 2 more consecutive SEC road games after the 4 game home stint.

Huge advantage having those Walmart/Dollar General shoppers in one location.
