Just wondering if anyone has any insight here? The kid played his ass off for us and was a key contributor? Just saw that he decided on transferring to UGA and I’m really curious as to what went into that decision? Any insight is appreciated.

I loved McCarthy and will always remember his heads up baserunning and slide that sealed our program’s first ever trip to the CWS.

Didn’t we recently lose an assistant coach to UGA as well? Perhaps Nolan and that coach had a strong relationship. Sometimes things happen… I wouldn’t necessarily fault Mingione on this one. I’m sure he would have preferred McCarthy stayed. We seem to have a solid portal class coming in though. Definitely need to keep momentum!
