Why is a 7 win season unrealistic to some?

Got to beat three SEC teams and UL, without a stumble in our out of conference games, to reach seven during the regular season. That would be a pretty big accomplishment even in Stoop's fourth year.

I will be happy with six wins, a bowl victory and a top twenty to thirty incoming recruiting class. That should be called moving forward in Stoop's third year as a head coach.

I like the 8 home games.... 6 out of the first 7 games is home, with the USC game on the road.... If we can put a dent in those first 7 games, this could be a great year.....

If the season hinges on Elam, I'm not expecting great things.

Shannon Dawson explained how important Matt Elam can be on the radio the other day. He is a unique asset. If he can continue to get into to playing shape and can learn better technique, he will be disruptive and could be part of the difference.

I don't get it. We should have won seven last year if not for 2 dropped interceptions. Can someone explain it to me why 7 wins is totally unrealistic?

A 7 win season seemed highly likely to me. 6 wins in the regular season and then a bowl victory. Ending in 7-6
