Over the years UK has had problems with teams that have a QB that can run with the ball. Let's hope the defense steps up tomorrow night and stop him.
Florida will absolutely win the game tomorrow, and it may not be very close.
Many are concerned with the offensive line but, I don't think the unit is bad as the left tackle was overmatched. Horsey is stepping in this week and should be a huge upgrade. Outside of Richardson, it looks like Florida doesn't have as many athletes as usual. While everyone is enamored with him he didn't look good against the sec last year. I think we win by 10 and finally jump into the top 10.
Before seeing what Florida did to Utah, I would have said UK wins, 60% chance to win to 40% to lose, and only because it's tough to win SEC road games. But after seeing Florida's new QB and knowing UK is breaking in a bunch of new o-line starters, it's a toss-up in my mind. I think it's close, no more than a touchdown either way. I'm leaning toward Florida winning at home in a close one at this point.
One thing, the PAC 12 is overrated, outside of maybe a USC. Utah being ranked 7 was a joke IMO. Also, Utah beat themselves last weekend. Critical late game turnovers killed them.
I agree the PAC12 is overrated. Utah was overrated, but they are a top 25 team in my opinion. They're not a top 10 team, but they're a good team. I hope you're right, of course. I just thought Florida was going to be a lot worse than they looked. I was thinking they were rebuilding and the QB position was a huge question mark. But that question was answered in a big way. They're just better than I expected, I guess.
I agree, they are better than I expected. I’m just saying that I think Florida’s win over Utah is being way overvalued. Not saying they’re not a good team, they are. I just think Kentucky pulls this game out.
We won by 11 in the swamp 4 years ago dickhole, it’s not insane to think with a healthy running back room this UK team could win by 2 TDs.
We have half an offense until C-Rod is back. We will be a different team when he’s on the field.
If we can’t run block and we can’t pass block then it doesn’t matter how good the D is.
The O line was a sieve against a non-power 5 school. This does not bode well for the rest of the season.
I saw the post pointing out in other years where the first game was a bit of a dud and then we picked it up. But the proof is in the pudding and I can’t base my optimism on what I saw last weekend.
This looks like a down year to me, which really sucks since we finally have the QB and WRs probably the best since Woodson, Lyons Jr, Johnson and Burton.
If I have to pick it straight up unfortunately I’m taking UF.
this is a hard call . Utah is not a top 20 team in reality so that win doesn't mean jack to me. If C rod was playing I'd go UK but he is not so I will say UF 23 - UK 21 . But UK winning could happen if the OLine improves from crap play last week.
I would go with FL in a close one...then it is a win win for you. If FL wins, you win your thing, but if UK wins, at least you get that if you lose money.
My thoughts exactly …I live in Florida and Gator talk is nauseating …was nice last year them having a down year

It’s not inconceivable that a team could go from beating another team by 11 to beating them by 14 in following years.

it’s a pointless argument. I gave my opinion on the hypothetical that C-Rod were playing, he’s not playing. It’s now a tossup game where Kentucky has to do a lot of things right to win a rock fight in the Swamp.

I figured that our game plan would be to really limit Richardson running the ball and make him a pocket passer. That’s exactly what happened. Richardson only rushed for a total of 4 yards. Incredible! We have an awesome defense! Have really good receivers and tight ends this year too. Love burners Dane Key and Brown. Of course, Levis is great. Just need to clean up a few things, O line especially.
