With Kentucky being the closest drive to Indianapolis which fan base will have the most fans for the Midwest Region games UK or UT.

Man today was so sweet but it brought back a lot of emotions for me. Last year my best friend OD’ed and died. He was a huge Purdue fan and we always did our brackets and stuff together. He would have been so excited to see us both going to Indianapolis for a chance to play each other in the elite 8. I bet we would have gone together. RIP Adam I hope that you look down on our teams and help them both matchup next week.

Sorry for your loss, Man. You have my condolences.

FWIW, my dad and brother would both have loved watching the team this season. Years don't take the sting away, but sports have a way of bringing people together whether all are in person or some in spirit.

I hope you're able to rally around those good memories and share them with the good folks you surround yourself with.

I had no idea you went through the same thing I did brother. Finding my best friend dead of an od March 28 2020 killed me bro. I'd saved him with Narcan two weeks prior and I'll always regret being so pissed he relapsed that by the time I tried to call he was already dead. Me and Ryan did the same thing with brackets but he was a huge UK fan and was buried in a UK coffin at 39. I go to his grave after big wins and tell him and he called out Cal long before I ever did. I'm so sorry brother but I know the pain. I know that ain't the only friend that's died from that poison.

Yup my buddy was 39 as well. Unfortunately it’s been a long struggle for me to try to get off that posion as well. He just had gotten out of rehab two weeks prior to dying.

Man I'm sorry for both of you , @michaeluk26. I have a nephew fighting a terrible battle with alcohol right now, he's 32. I've given up my drinking as I was far too deep in the bottle. I was lucky, my body never craved it but I understand addiction enough.

I was in a bad wreck and I'll be on fentanyl patches the rest of my life. I'm definitely addicted to them but its controlled by my pain clinic. There have been a couple refill mistakes and my body lets me know really damn fast. I don't wish it on anyone.

Fox2monk, I know you do already but please reach out if you're struggling. I'm always on here since I can't work anymore. Prayers for both you guys.

Thanks Bud I appreciate that more than you know.

They will be rooting for Tennessee. They have ended our season two of the past three years. They kinda own us.
Although, let's be honest...no matter what the fan situation is, the team with the fewest fans at this regional is the one most likely to advance. They are quite good.

They are good but I would rather face Houston than Purdue or Kentucky. There is just bad juju from both.

You might be the first Vol fan I've ever talked to who wasn't completely drunk on hubris. Many of us UK fans are paranoid as shit (I'm one of them) but I literally have NEVER encountered an online Tennessee fan (especially here on RR) who wasn't talking outright shit ALL the time. Congratulations on being the first normal Tennessee fan in the wild?

Purdue will be there in numbers as well.

The real question is: do Purdue fans root for the lower seeded UK or Tennessee?

I feel like you're always rooting for the worse seed to win, if it means a "perceived" lesser opponent. I bet most Purdue fans will rather play us than Tennessee and therefore I can't see them cheering AGAINST us in any meaningful numbers. If anything it will be added support.

Purdue will have the most. But between UK and UT will go with UK but it be close . UT fans a 24hr. head start on buying up SS tickets.

I can tell you, the Purdue buzz around here is noticeably down compared to the last couple years. Purdue fans will be there, sure. But these folks aren't nearly as fired up for this team.

No way UK is outnumbered by any fanbase in Indy. I bought my tickets after we won the first game (big gamble I know) and I bet I-65 north will be packed with UK license plates on Friday. Can't wait.
