Azubuike was actually the first to pop into my head as well.
Some others I can recall who had big dunks that really stood out are Derek Anderson and MKG.

Kenny Walker, and for me there is no close second...
Only one UK alum ever won the NBA Dunk contest (and did it at a time when the Stars were involved).

Walker would be wrapped up by 3 defenders with their fingers in his eyes and ears and still manage to stuff it.
Hami has to be up there also
James Lee was always a power dunker along with Charles Hurt. Kenny Walker was Awesome, but King Rex was good as well. Ron Mercer had some good ones as well. My vote is Kenny Walker
I think Kenny Walker has to be number 1. I don't think any others come close. After Kenny, I would go with James Lee and Rex Chapman. Both of them had such impact when they dunked!

Definitely Kenny Walker, but I always think about how nasty Derek Anderson's dunk against Louisville was.
Kenny walker Azibuke wasn't bad but Kenny was better. Most famous one I remember though was James Lee on the last play in the championship game against duke in 78
Certainly not the best, but I believe Andre Riddick was the FASTEST dunker. It was incredible how quickly he could leave the floor and dunk the ball under the basket.

As nasty as Hami could be in warm ups and in dunk contests, he rarely ever dunked in games (remarkably). He doesn’t deserve mention in this thread because I presume we’re talking about in game dunkers.
Kenny Walker was slightly before my time (I was alive, just too young to really remember). For me, Derek Anderson, Kelenna Azubuike, John Wall, Malik Monk. And I’ll give another write in vote for Willie Cauly Stein. His last year at Kentucky he took some dude’s souls.

The ones at the end are sick. Tubby's "built like Tarzan plays like Jane" comment must have pissed him off...
A lot of players had one or more fantastic dunks, but Kenny Walker tried to tear the rim down every time he dunked the ball. To me it's him by a mile.

Naming all those old timers is cool, and nostalgic, but none of them dudes (Walker, James Lee, Charles Hurt) wanna go be in a dunk contest vs Monk, Diallo, Wall, or even Darius Miller.
Like I said in my last post on the subject, I’d like to think this post is about in game dunking and not dunk contests. Hami probably had less than 10 dunks total in his year at Kentucky.

So are you saying that if we could bring those dudes back from the past they would not beat those guys, you are crazy, Walker and Lee both would walk away with it verses the guys you named.
Cauley-Stein had two or three that I would put in the top 10 of all-time dunks by UK players.
My favorite Walker dunk was at florida...Sky catches an entry pass deep in the paint...about 4 feet in front of the goal...and goes straight back up for a short turn-around jumper that he'd do where he'd just jump however high he needed to in order to get a clean look. As he gets to the peak of his jump, he kind of looks down at (I believe) DeWayne Schintzus (sp), who had the temerity to actually try and jump w/ Kenny. I guess Sky decided he needed a little lesson, because instead of shooting his jump shot, he threw down as nasty a dunk as I've ever seen. He had to bend at the waist to get the length to reach the rim; he was so far away he couldn't reach it with arm length alone.

One of the best dunkers was James Lee. He was a beast when he dunked the ball. When Kentucky did the Senior tour he came to Mayfield and took two basketballs and dunked so hard that the net flipped one of the basketballs back out the net. Also he dunked a basketball so hard that it broke or almost the fingers of a Russian player that was 7 foot plus during a exhibition game.
This was a typical call against us starting back in the late 90's and its only got worse.
Oh how I would've loved watching that team play @ Kentucky...f'ing sean sutton...
The Kemp team I'm talking about; not that kemp and sky would've been on the team together. Kemp, Manuel, Mills could've competed for a title with me and my little brother running the backcourt...

It is all opinion backed. Me personally, Walker, Anderson, and Chapman. But this one has a special place in my heart.
