At least we would not have look or listen to Cal when following UK and either has a better chance of winning a NC at this point than Cal.Would Kentucky fans take a Matt Painter?

The local supply of alcohol would drop, drastically.Mark Few. Just under 2 million a year

sureAnother one ? What is this, like the 14th Cal replacement thread ? What was wrong with the other 13 that we needed a new one ? THERE ARE NO VIABLE REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE at this time. Are you that desperate for attention that you really needed to start ANOTHER thread on the same subject that has been beat to a pulp ?
Hell, leave him in the grave. It’d still be an upgrade.I would take Rick back from the grave over Cal.

Most but not all coaches are viable replacements at this pointAnother one ? What is this, like the 14th Cal replacement thread ? What was wrong with the other 13 that we needed a new one ? If you are wanting a long term, and drastic improvement on recent results, then "most" are not viable replacements. Sure you can get guys that can win some games, but if you are truly wanting to get back to deep runs in the tournament, there just aren't any available at this time. Keep in mind, IF Cal is fired, chances are, the roster shake up with max exodus will put the new coach in a very tough predicament. He would have to hit the ground running and try to fill not only a roster, but one that will actually be able to do the things fans want. Not a task any coach would want in his first year at a school like UK replacing a HOF coach who has a couple / few down years compared to UK standards. Most but not all coaches are viable replacements at this point
Would be nice but none of those guys are going to return to the current state of college basketball.1 and 1A.....Brad Stevens and Billy Donovan

I still stand by it. With a Ouija board and a decent assistant he would still be a better coach than Cal.Rick Majerus has been dead for 10 years! Hasn't he?
soon as @JFCats22 cried about that thread about his boyfriend md it got deleted lmao
So if Cal is fired next year there will still be the possibility of a max exodusIf you are wanting a long term, and drastic improvement on recent results, then "most" are not viable replacements. We haven't signed anyone for next year. Maybe the players that will play this year and was maybe coming back, but the players who have a real good shot at returning from this current team added with the kids we signed, it would be a huge risk, unless the risk (top notch coach not just a Cal replacement) was worth the reward, you don't fire him for the sake of change. Get your ducks in a row, have someone legit to replace him in tow (or at least a solid conversation with the guy), and if things do not vastly improve, make the move. A lot less to lose next year. We do not have 6 solid guys signed, and the guys who return this year, probably doesn't come back a second year anyway so they would more than likely leave regardless. The new coach would need time to replace what will be lost and nobody left in the 24 class and we haven't signed anybody for 25.So if Cal is fired next year there will still be the possibility of a max exodus
